I just looked for ticket availability for tonight's 7:30 p.m. performance out of curiosity, and I am flabbergasted how many seats are still available—I'd venture to say about 80%+ of the house has yet to sell. The show saw the lowest attendance percentage of all shows last week (some will use the lack of school breaks as reasoning for that, but it doesn't even sell all that hotly when school is out of session). When is Weinstein and his gang going to, if ever, open up the Lunt-Fontanne for its next tenant?

Well considering it is only the second time they have grossed below the half mil mark (on my quick scan), I wouldn't think all that soon.

Tony Yazbeck performed live on PIX 11 News this morning, doing some promotion. I like his version of Neverland.

Wouldn't surprise me if this sees the year out and singin in the rain moves in in early 2017

I wouldn't be surprised if it closed in September in time for the tour to to begin and then the Lunt will stay vacant until singin in the rain begins.

Why would the Lunt stay vacant for half of the year? Why would any theatre do that?

Sometimes you needs months for the theater to get ready for a new show - especially when the tech aspects are difficult. I am not saying this is true in this case - but in general, often new shows need a set up time. Not every show can move in weeks after another show closes.
I know it's the extreme but the Disney theaters often need an entire year to get ready for a new show.
Was there some speculation that SpongeBob was maybe next in line at the Lunt - or did I imagine that?

Make it through the summer?
If Frozen goes into the New Amsterdam, Aladdin would need to move somewhere . . .

If it is true that this mediocre show cost 20 million to get on, it will never see a profit at this point. The Nederlanders could be giving Harvey a break on the rent which would reduce it's nut. That and the lesser salaries for replacements still wouldn't help out that much. Mr W is a billionaire and could keep the show going, but it must be hell for the cast to give 100% to small houses.

I would guess end of summer.
The biggest shock to me is that it's still running.
Why can't Weinstein admit it? This is over. It barely ever got started.

It was only during New Years when the show broke the house record with almost 1.5 million for 9 shows, and they had a strong Holliday season.
Its only been in the last couple of weeks that they have gone below 700k weekly, before that they where having a relatively healthy run.

I wouldn't panic just yet. Yes, their numbers lately are cause for concern but considering it is a very slow time of year and Matthew Morrison has now left I don't know what would be expected. They really should put in a name for Barrie though (if they could). I think Morrison sold quite a few tickets. And unfortunately, it doesn't really seem Kelsey Grammer's return has helped much. It should be noted though that he was out the whole week (and will be for this week and next) and wonder if that also had something to do with it. I hear he's extending past March 26th believe it or not, and might be spending some time in the role with Boe. Interesting to see what happens.

There is now an unmissable advertisement at the very top of the show's website for a $39 ticket code (FBK4), FYI.

Its the dog days of winter, the dreaded February/March malaise, add to that the show has been running for virtually a year and then factor in that Matt Morrison is gone now.
For as much as posters around here derided Matt Morrison as not much of a box office draw, its amusing to now see his exit given as a legit reason for the box office decline.
The show might have taken a loss for, what, 2 or 3 weeks of its entire run? I would guess that April/Easter will give a better picture as to how much legs FN has left. Until then bearing losses for March doesn't seem like some extraordinary life support. "Something Rotten" seems in a similar situation and "An American in Paris" and "The King and I" don't look all that healthy either,.

Is it the show that most people have a problem with or have most people just jumped on the I hate Harvey bandwagon?

What are the odds of a brief run of Jeremy closing out the show in September?

The odds are same as if you opened your front door and were stared down by a dinosaur. Not gonna happen.

How about Roger Bart going back into it after Disaster closes. Lots of bad blood surrounding the show.

their website doesn't say anything about Kelsey Grammer being out of the show for 2 weeks, are you sure? Where did you read this?
