This thread is dedicated to all those talented actors and actresses, who still haven't won a Tony. Who do you think is long overdue for Tony win?
- Charlotte d'Amboise. Nominated for Best Actress in 89. And was never nominated again. She once called herself "The Replacement Queen." This amazingly talented woman needs a Tony.
- Brenda Braxton. Ok this amazing lady has been Broadway since about the late 70's. She was nominated for SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE. Sadly lost. She is one damn good Velma Kelly, and has a fantastic voice, and slick dance moves. She should've won a Tony decades ago.
- Chris Sieber. Though not a fan of Spam, I was thrilled he was finally nominated, he deserves a Tony though. An amazing Billy Flynn.
- Janine LaManna. Many considered her performance in Seussical very Tony worthy, and sadly she was screwed over and didn't get nominated. She can sing and dance her butt off, she needs a Tony!
- Jennifer Laura Thompson. Nominated for Urinetown. So talented, she needs a Tony.
Okay, I will probally add more later. Those are names off the top of my head. Now I know winning a Tony isn't EVERYTHING. But I feel these actors deserve to be rewarded for their wonderful work on Broadway!
So who do you think is long overdue for a Tony?? Updated On: 8/11/05 at 03:31 PM

He'll get one. If he doesn't, there is something seriously wrong. Won't be next year, since his Chitty contract is a year, but it'll happen. I wish the Tonys acknowledged off-Broadway, or that The Normal Heart had been on Broadway. That would've been it.
Stephanie J. Block!! (Because she would've so had it for Wicked if they hadn't decided to use someone with a better known name *cough*Idina*cough*)
