I think "South Pacific" has the best music, but I just love "The King and I" so much that I often will say that's my favorite.

South Pacific then Oklahoma. I've found over time I've sort of fallen out of love with The Sound of Music, I blame the film for that, I'm not enamored of it.

I know at one point RH wanted to do a revival of SOM with Laura Osnes but I doubt she'd want to do a third RH production.

South Pacific. Probably Carousel next. Both have brilliant scores and incredible books. The King and I is up there too.

Judging by their film adaptations, it would be very hard for me to pick between The King and I, South Pacific, and The Sound of Music. I think... ultimately South Pacific is the best-- but that's the only one I've seen a representation of on stage, so that may be unfair.

I also have a very soft spot for the Julie Andrews Cinderella.

Gee, are we not allowed to consider ALLEGRO, STATE FAIR, ME AND JULIET or PIPE DREAM?

Very little in all of musical theater compares to the first 30 minutes of CAROUSEL for me, particularly in the Nicholas Hytner revival.

Carousel, The King and I, Flower Drum Song (original), South Pacific, and Cinderella (new).

Too many favorites but like many, I would have to list them this order by only a tiny bit between them...(and trying to think of recordings and stage performances not movie versions)

First...South Pacific, King and I, Carousel (parts of which might make me put it as first but overall, I put it 3rd), and then Cinderella (but the TV version without all the extra music and dialogue that is in the new version).

I know Oklahoma is a classic but I have personally never warmed up to it.

If I am thinking of films, Sound of Music gets me every time it's on.
