You're drunk. They won't close any time soon. Name recognition of a multi-generational family favorite will keep it running (like The Addams Family).
Play: A Dolls House, Part 2 (if doesn't pick up some serious nods)
Musical: Amelie

YES, I am DRUNK!!! and My money is still on Charlie... They spent more money outside the theater than they spent on sets in the theater. I agree on your other picks too

They already posted a $1M in sales last week, too.

Has any show ever announced closing on the DAY of nominations before? Just wondering.

Pretty sure Doctor Z announced pretty soon after. Don't remember of it was on the same day, though.

Charlie is not long lived. paramore had a Million dollar week here and there.... so what. Its a FLAWED SHOW... I was going to say bad. It had promise and they left that in LONDON along with the sets.

My bet's on Amelie; really, really terrible week, sales wise, and shut out of Tony noms. Doesn't bode well.

Not that I wish ill for any show but any chance Amelie closes before June 18 because I'd like a full refund for the tickets my daughter forced me to buy...and that's the only way I get out of this show!

Maybe A Bronx Tale will close? I saw it, seeing that it was a "NYTimes Critic pick / choice". If that hadn't been tagged on... I wouldn't have seen it. I did enjoy Richard Blake's performance. I don't think it helped the show having the cast album delayed for a while... I can't remember the music due to such a late album release.

Eventually, yes. But there's no reason for them to close up shop now with such solid grosses. I expect they'll last at least through the summer. Not sure after that.

I'm putting my money on either Ameile for the first musical to bite the dust. Ameile should have waited til next season. This was an ill choice on the producer's part to think they had a chance. Bronx Tale will likely not be far behind but it's gotta enough buzz from having been around to last the summer. This was the start of it's time running out however.

Amélie got ONE nomination this ENTIRE awards season (Drama League for Best Musical). They have nothing new to market going forward.

Paramour played for a full year, and took a payout to leave the theater so Harry Potter could have it.

I don't know if you're aware of it, but Cats is selling pretty well at the moment and although it's not grossing as well as it could be, it is definitely doing better than many other shows.

I'm aware. But they did get snubbed this morning, and it's been running under the radar for a bit, so we'll see how it goes by the end of the summer.

I think we put far too much stock into what NOT getting nominated means for certain shows. Surely Charlie and Anastasia (and Cats and A Bronx Tale) will be fine for at least some time. Not getting nominated for anything was a death sentence of Amelie, I'm afraid.

Amélie, sadly, can't have long. How's Bandstand been doing?

I didn't mean to offend anyone. We'll just have to wait and see what the summer (and for some, beyond) holds! It's a crowded season and there is something for everyone!

Cats at least has it's name recognition to survive on a bit longer. Those toursits folks standing at TKTS that will say "Oh, Cats. That's famous. I've heard of that. Well now is my chance I guess." Meanwhile Amelie is more, "Was that a movie? I THINK that was a movie. It sounds foreign. How do you even pronounce that? Let's go see Phantom."
