Posted: 10/21/05 at 11:35pmSorry if there's a thread on this, but I thought it might be fun to see who got a show- related item from ebay. I recently did my first item. It is the rare 1989 T. V. movie version of the play THE WOMAN IN BLACK. I ordered mine, but it's supposed to arrive next week. I'll post when I get it. So, who has something like that from ebay or another place (and the flee market thing every September counts.) Who and what?

I got a collection of around 50 playbills from the 80s which included 2 carrie playbills.. for like $15
And a lot of Brooklyn stuff

Wow, and I just paid $50 for a single Carrie playbill. Nice find!
I got a partial cast and writer signed Brooklyn playbill today actually for $5.00.

You have to sift through a lot of ApplauseOnline listings (which are usually over-priced and often described incorrectly), but you can usually find people who have picked them up free at industry events who are selling them cheap. I managed to get a framed Candide showcard for next to nothing recently! (v. good)

I use EBay to keep up my collection of CHICAGO posters ... I have @ 40 from around the world.. both original and revival / tour (this is just one wall of my loft).
I also own Annie Gloden's orange snakeskin fringe boots from THE FULL MONTY. Bought those from BC/EFA.

Posted: 10/22/05 at 11:49amI bought a Vaudeville program from the early 1900's, a group of playbills from the 1940's (Oklahoma; Kiss Me, Kate; Carousel; etc), and autographed playbill from Al Jolson's last broadway show, Hold On To Your Hats ; an entire cast autographed playbill from Parade, playbills from The Pirates of Penzance and The Secret Garden, and the recordings of Vanessa Williams in Spiderwoman and the OBCR of Chess.
