I wrote Ashley Brown and she sent me back a hand-written letter, an autographed headshot, an autographed picture of her in costume, and a post card from Mary Poppins that said Greetings from Cherry Tree Lane.

I wrote her on Nov. 23 and I received the packet of stuff, on Jan. 2. So it took a little over a month. She's so nice, I couldn't believe it!

I've recently heard back from Ashley Brown, Jon Groff, Mara Davi, and Natalie Cortez. All with very nice notes! :) Ashley and Mara also sent playbills.

I've only written to a few of them on-line and 2 wrote back.
Question: when writing to a performer is it customary to include a SASE if you would like something back?

Groff took about three weeks. He wrote a very nice note on the back of the photo. I can't decide which side to frame!

Does anyone have any idea where I could send Chita Rivera a letter? I wrote it the day of her last show in Philly, and her tour's on a break until February when they go to Cleveland, so I'm completely unsure as to where to send it. So if anyone has any ideas...

Does anyone know what address to use to send mail to someone performing in the Public Theater? Is there a stage door? Would you just send it c/o the Public Theater at the street address listed on their site? Does it matter which theater within the theater the person is performing in?
"I wrote a book: "How to Be Popular". Now I've put together a top ten list of how to help you:
-Elphie, everyday... shower. I mean, who knows? Maybe some of that green is gonna come off!
-Deodorant Elphie. No body likes a stinky witch!
-I think we've covered the hair, we'll get to that.
-Clean underclothes. That's all I'm gonna say.
-Look at your posture. That's no way to be popular!
-Bed made, room straightened. We've done that.
-Colors blended. Oookay.
-But the most important thing to have, to make yourself popular, is to keep your beautiful smile."

As a teen I wrote to Stephen Sondheim a number of times and always got really nice, short notes typed out that addressed what I asked about--I'm glad I kept them all.

Anyone ever get anything back from Lauren Kennedy? I wrote to her both online and snail mail while she was in Spamalot and nothing.
Recently, however, I have heard from Ashley Brown (who sent a bunch of stuff- so sweet), Mara Davi (another sweetie), and autogprahed plabills from the casts of Beauty, A Chorus Line, Drowsy, and Phantom. Still waiting to hear from Wicked, Les Miz, Kristin Chenoweth, Jodi Benson, and Sutton Foster. I've also been meaning to right Jon Groff, Jon Gallagher, Lea Michelle, Megan McGinnis, Norm Lewis, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Jessica-Snow Wilson, Lisa Brescia, and Stephen Buntrock.

I've written to Sutton 2X. The first time was when she was is Little Women and then I wrote more recently- it was like 1 week after she got back to Drowsy after her wedding.
Still nothing back...
SuzyQzy, I love John Tartaglia but he just doesn't seem like a person who would send headshots. *Shrugs*
I find that many more females respond back than males.

The only fanmail I've ever written was to Julia Murney after I saw her in the Wicked tour. I didn't ask for anything in return, and didn't send a SASE, but 2 weeks later, I got a signed headshot with a nice little note on the back, as well as another signed promo pic. She's such a sweetheart.

I heard from Bill Nighy! Took just under two weeks! He sent a playbill signed.

Could anyone confirm if this is the right address for Carole Shelley?
Brunskill Management
Suite 8A
169 Queens Gate
London SW7 5HE
I found it on fanmail.biz but wasn't sure if it's right seeing as she's been in America for almost 40 years from what I read.
Also, I still can't seem to find an address for Michelle Federer. I can't even find an agent address for her. I would be most grateful if someone could help. :)

Sweet,
I asked for a signed playbill.
When I got mine signed at the stage door, he signed in
black marker on the black Beauty and the Beast playbill.
So I was hoping for a new one.
