I just heard back from Howie Michael Smith. I had written to him a few weeks ago asking for a signed headshot. Instead I got back a playbill that said, "Traci, I'm out of headshots!! Yikes!" I thought that was cute.

mrs felciano, I'd wait for the show to open on Broadway. With the theater in San Francisco being temporary and all the craziness of an out of town tryout occuring, I think you'd be better off waiting for it to arrive at The Palace.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

RockabyeHamlet - I heard from Alex in the early months of Sweeney Todd. A few friends of mine however never heard back. I guess I was lucky.

The funny thing is my last trip to NYC he walked right past me in a crosswalk and I was like in shock. :sigh: I let him walk rightttt on by.

I recently got mail from Katie Adams (Glinda standby in Wicked), Robyn Hurder (Holly u/s in Wedding Singer, Mona in Chicago) and a few weeks ago I got Maggie Benjamin (Maureen in Rent) and Mara Davi (Maggie in Chorus Line) mail. Katie, Robyn, and Mara all wrote me nice letters back. It made me happy.

somethingwicked - I wrote to everyone from the spring awakening cast. I've heard back from Groff and Lauren. Groff sent me a headshot with a note and Lauren sent me a cast signed playbill, headshot(with attached resume) and a note.

well i live the UK, postage worldwide takes 5days, 9th feb is probably the only date I could do, if I sent it 9th, It could get to her 14th I would presume, do I miscalculate? To be on the safe side, should I do it a little early?

Mail it ASAP. With her recent engagement, I would imagine her home life may be a little hectic, so your going to want her to respond before the show closes and before she has to start cleaning out whatever possessions she might have in the dressing room.

So today I got my first reply from a broadway actor. After nine months, Daniel Reichard wrote back to me. He sent me a playbill with his signature and a little note saying, "Devon! Who loves you!" I had completely given up hope so this was quite the nice surprise. I thought it would be Jonathan Groff as that's the only one I sent out recently, but yeah. I'm a very happy camper.

Just recieved a photo signed by Kate Winslet. Her PA sent me a note saying apologies for being late and that Kate is very busy etc. I forgot all about sending to her. It's been 7 months since I wrote to her.
