Just recieved a signed photo from Nigel Planer of himself as the Wizard in 'Wicked' in London.

It took about a month and a bit for him to respond but at least I have something rather than nothing :)

I also just got a signed headshot from Jonathan Groff today. His note was so sweet. It took him about three weeks, which rocked.

That's a little much, don't you think?

I mean to ask for a playbill or a picture is one thing..but to ask for a poster that would require extra packaging? I highly doubt the actors have unlimited access to window cards.. they cost like $20.

LionKingfan, I guess you will hear from folks who might have done that and they will tell you whether they got it back. IMO, it is huge undertaking both for you (finding a mailer for the poster to the theatre as well as including a mailer for the poster to be returned, all with adequate cardboard and postage to keep it safe) and the actors. If you do send it, I wouldn't get your hopes up. IMO, it is an imposition on the actors, not that I am judging you or your motivations, which I know are good intentions. I just think it is too much to ask.

I think it is better that you go to the show and have the actors sign the window card as they exit the theatre.

Staples sell flat envelopes that dont bend. So I wont need any cardboard. So I was planning to use two envelopes.

Just recieved an Signed Photo of James Gillan as Boq in 'London' Wicked. He wrote a note on it saying "Glad You Like The Show". Took him about over a month to respond

I've sort of given up on this kind of thing. I'd do it more but there are just so many I don't get back.

I really want a signed headshot from Jesse L. Martin. I sent him a letter and a SASE a while ago but I kinda gave up hope.
The same for Adam Pascal.

Anyone have any contacting information for those two, I'd appreciate it!

Edit: And Sutton Foster who I've written to twice. Once in Little Women and once in Drowsy. I know most people have had luck with her...not me

Megan Hilty has sent me a picture and a note. I sent a letter to Kristin Chenoweth, but she hasn't responded yet and it has been like 7 months. That doesn't matter because I met her at The Apple Tree stage door and got her autograph which is better anyway.

Traci - I don't know exactly when I wrote him.. but it was a few weeks after he started in Beauty and the Beast. I'm not sure when that was.. I didn't think I was going to get anything back! I was very happy today when I opened the mail! :)
