just wondering if anyone has gotten anything back from bernadette peters? i would love to send her a gypsy playbill to sign!
I have not received anything from Ms. McDonald either and it's been 4 months. However, she's going to be at Ravinia in late August so I have a chance there.
Has anyone ever gotten anything back from Angela Lansbury? I'd love to get an autograph for my grandmom.
Finally, I got my signed Playbill back from the Spring Awakening cast. It took a while, but it's here.
Still waiting for:
Avenue Q CD insert from John Tartaglia
Carosel CD insert from Audra McDonald
Jersey Boys Playbill
110 in the Shade Playbill
Inherit the Wind Playbill
The Year of Magical Thinking
I realize some of those are probably pipe-dreams....but I still hope for the CD inserts and the Jersey Boys Playbill.
For the record, all of these autograph requests were made because I was inspired by this thread. Even if I don't get any more things back, it was really fun reading this thread and then contributing to it.
i am still waiting for josh strickland.
but i will be sending fanmail to Legally Blonde Cast
I too would like to know about if Angela Lansbury signs. I have a few things I'd love for her to sign, but I'd rather not bother her for it outside the theater in case there are throngs of people.

pc1145N2 glad you got your Spring Awakening playbill! i know you've been waiting a long time. better late than never though. =]
chinkie- I mailed the letter a couple days before 110 went into previews. I asked her about it when I met her at 110 and she said she likes to write back to letters she receives, so I don't know what the deal is.
I sent a letter to her more than two weeks ago, so let's see what happens. I also sent letters to Raul Esparza, Curtis Holbrook, Angela Lansbury, and Lea Salonga. Nothing has come yet.

I believe Spring Awakening waits and sends out loads of mail at one time. Because some people get things in 2 weeks (Including me) and for some, it takes time.
Recently I have received a playbill signed by the cast of Wicked and a Playbill signed by the 4 seasons in Jersey Boys.
I have only ever written once to a broadway show. I wrote to Will Kemp after I saw him in Swan Lake. I didn't even ask for anything. Then like a week later I get a personlized letter in the mail, with a little swan drawn on the back of it. Yes, it was a letter from Will Kemp, along with a signed little head shot. Very sweet. I still have to this day in my swan Lake Program
I just recieved a photo signed by Gillian Lynne (CATS & Chitty Choreographer) and a note from her PA. :)
I just got a signed Deuce plabill and a typed note from Angela Lansbury in the mail today!
^ Awesome! Did you send her a self-addressed envelope or simply write her? I take it you didn't send her the playbill, she just took one and sent it off to you, right?

Goodness! What did the note from Angela say?
I didn't send a SASE, she sent the playbill in one envelope and the letter in another. The note said:
I thought it was interesting that it said it has renewed her energy to continue acting after there was that playbill.com article about her retiring. I can't tell if the autograph on the note are real or not because it's a form letter. But it's still really nice of her! It took a little over two weeks for her to respond.
It doesn't quite look like my autograph from the stage door - but maybe she scribbles more when she's in a rush to get a bunch of autographs done. Either way, very nice of her to send the letter.
Yes, in an interview with NBC Today she said she has absolutely no desire to retire. I think when she is talking about Deuce being a conclusion for her, she means she is retiring from the stage. Even on "The View" this spring she said she plans to make a "good two-hour" Jessica Fletcher feature. So we'll see.

Today I got a signed headshot from Laura Bell Bundy :) She is gorgeous!
That's odd, I wrote Lansbury about a month ago and two weeks later I had me a headshot.
I got a signed Playbill back from Xanadu yesterday but I think it's missing the signatures of Mary Testa, Kerry Butler and Cheyenne Jackson.
Is anyone a sleuth enough to tell me if those three are on there? Most of them are fairly easy to check off....but of course, those 3 are toughest.
Thanks.

^ I know I'm out of the loop but I didn't know Mary Testa was in Xanadu and I think she's just great. I may reconsider seeing this now, provided she stays in it.

WOW! That's AMAZING Eric. I know this question was asked further up the page but, does anyone know if Bernadette Peters responds to letters?
