I've been contmplating writing to Sondheim for a long time, but I have no idea what to say. I don't think I can put into words what his work means to me.

How does one contact Sondheim? Will he get back to me? I'd love to have him sign a Sweeney program I have, but I don't want to risk sending it in the mail.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

for people who got stuff back from SA, what zipcode did you use? Thanks!

I feel as if zip code wouldn't play a part in it.
I mean, a letter can get delivered without a zip code, the post office just claims that it "speeds things up"

The zip code for SA is 10038. Not 10036.

I've used the 10036 zip for SA and got a respose no problem...I guess it doesn't really matter. The O'Neill must be on the border between zips or something.

I used 10019 for The Eugene O'Neil Theatre and I got a response.

I sent the letter at the beginning of June and it took about 8 weeks to get a reply from Ms. Redgrave....but TOTALLY worth it.

I'm thinking about writing a letter to someone from A Chorus Line, and I have some questions.
1) Should I put a sheet of paper in SASE for him to reply?
2) I'd like to get a playbill signed, but I can't find any Playbill. Do you think he'll just send a new signed Playbill if I include a manila folder that's big enough for him to reply with?

If you ask for a Playbill, I think they have enough of them around that they will probably give you one. Just make sure you include enough postage for its weight.
I dont think you need to include paper for him to reply
