Does anyone know how the last show went today. What did Kristen do? How big was the crowd at the lottery? Updated On: 7/18/04 at 07:41 PM
I was at the lottery and it was CRAZY! Seriously, there had to be at least 700+ people. INSANE!
That's not odd. There were more than that when I was there about a month ago.
Were there really? Yikes! But people actually cried when they won the lottery today. You would think they were winning money!
Yeah, it was ridiculous when I was there. People were crying than also when they won and cried when they didn't. Girls dressed like witches with green face paint on and other girls dressed all in pink. It made me want to hurl.
Just good-natured fun... Us "Wicked" fanatics are a crazy lot.. (Not that I would ever paint my face, but anyway...)
Btw... cute idea J. putting "Wicked Closing" in subject line.. Make sure everyone takes a look.
If WICKED were closing - you would be seeing Live coverage on CNN right now of the protestors chaining themselves around the Gershwin Theatre. Fire flooding the streets! Rioting all over Broadway.
You might consider a subject title change.
Not to mention all the people setting themselves on fire outside of the Gershwin. But hey, that might not be a bad idea. At least than some of those people who post 200 times a day about absolutely nothing wouldn't be around anymore!
Hee. I actually like Wickeda lot...not enough to post 200 times a day about it or anything but it's a good ol' time when I see it! Don't want to insult any diehard Wicked fans on the board.
I heard that there were 1090 people at the lottery today. I'm waiting to hear from people who saw it; I want details!
What about the people that post 200 times about people posting 200 times?
I don't know of anyone here who posts that much about that topic. Care to enlighten me?
ya wicked isnt closeing. it's just kristin's last show. so i dont know why people keep saying things like wicked's last show or wicked closing. it is to big of a hit to close..lol
i was there yesterday for the mat., even if i had chicago tickets i just wanted to give it a try. it was kinda crazy. a girl in front of me had been trying the lottery for 8 days in a row, without winning. i think there were about 400 people there.
I was there yesterday for the matinee as well, except i was in the cancellation line (i did get a ticket). I would guess that there were at least 500 people for the lottery, and after the show i stayed for the lottery for hte evening performance and there were even more people.
o man
people are sick...
from your previous post, Matt:

Guess my point is that there are so many people on the boards that post constantly about the number of times that people post about a particular show, performer, etc. ("Wicked" obviously being one of them). Problem is that what you consider to be "about absolutely nothing", or as someone else said "inane", might be very meaningful to someone else. What one is person is passionate about, you might consider to be utterly ridiculous.
That's what makes the world so great. To each his/her own.
I dont mean to come off as being preachy or a martyr, but you posted twice for the purpose of basically mocking people that are passionate about "Wicked". Is that any better than the person that would post twice about the Wicked Lottery?
That was my point.
Someone just posted on the ATC boards about "Wicked" today, and KC's last performance. Cute stuff !!
