I see that on broadway.com, Addams Family group seats are being sold and the price breakdown shows seats in a front mezzanine and then a rear mezz from rows A to N. The only Nederlander theater that would fit the bill is the Lunt-Fontanne. Does one assume in a situation like this that it's tentative, or is it a safe bet that The Little Mermaid will be wrapping up at the end of the year?

That would make sense if Disney was still planning on closing Mary Poppins and moving MERMAID to the New Amsterdam.
Closing MARY POPPINS? Maybe. Closing THE LITTLE MERMAID? Maybe, also. Answer to both: I doubt it. ESPECIALLY moving THE LITTLE MERMAID into the New Amsterdam.
Moving The Little Mermaid into a different theater is possible, also, but I wouldn't think the New Amsterdam.

^ TLM hasn't even recouped. What money do they have to transfer?
They have Disney money.
Touche.
THE LITTLE MERMAID isn't even doing too well at the BO. WHY would they move into a LARGER house? If anything, they should look into moving into a SMALLER house...(if possible)
Capnhook, I can only repeat what I was told. I asked the same question when I heard it.
You never said you were TOLD this. So now it's not just an idea, it's a rumor?
Oh, well please do excuse me. I forgot before posting anything I need to give the name of the person I got the information from, their title, years of employment with said company and contact information.
I don't consider it a rumor, I consider it a real possibility given the conversation I had with [Title of Person]
Even if they have Disney money, it would not move sense to move into a bigger theater if it is not filling up the theater it is currently in. It seems as if the Disney money is more to help keep the show open as long as possible despite not recouping the initial investment. Maybe the Little Mermaid and/or Mary Poppins will close somewhere down the line. But I do not see a move for Little Mermaid.
Wow, Jordan Catalano, something up your ass? I never even asked to know any details about a source. I simply stated that your first post made it seem like your own idea - then you mentioned that it was something you were TOLD (an important factor, no?) - so it's not just an IDEA, it's a RUMOR.
I don't understand why you are so defensive...
Could TLM move to the Neil Simon (if it is smaller) or is it not because Lunt-Fontanne is a Disney operated house like New Amsterdam?

I wouldn't think disney would want to close poppins right now.
I thought DIRTY DANCING was going into the Neil Simon. Were those plans scrapped? I hadn't heard anything on that in a little while.
The Lunt-Fontanne is operated by the Nederlanders. Only the New Amsterdam is operated by Disney
"I wouldn't think disney would want to close poppins right now."
I don't think Disney would want to close anything currently with the summer months coming up. They will probably experience a little boost in their summer sales.

Dirty Dancing has been brought back in to be retooled.
The OP said at the END of the year, which is the only reason why this whole insane idea is plausible.
The Little Mermaid better not close anytime soon and I don't think it will.. Just because it has had a rough time these past couple of weeks, doesn't mean anything because most shows have their time when they do well and then they pick up. After this weekend it will really pick up because many people will be going to catch Sierra Boggess before she leaves and also colleges are out and the summer is approaching so it won't close but maybe a transfer may be in its future.

Just an idea, what about closing Guys and Dolls, moving Little Mermaid to the smaller Nederlander, and having Addams Family take up the Lunt? Mary poppins is still doing well enough to keep running.
"Dirty Dancing has been brought back in to be retooled. "
I very much doubt it, this money is makinga fortune where its playing
Moving MERMAID to the Nederlander makes more sense.
I don't see DIRTY DANCING making an appearance on the Great White Way anytime next season...
actors on the Dirty Dancing tour were told they are in fact no longer going to Broadway and those plans were scrapped. At least as of March. Thank goodness. Whataloadofcrap that was. Consider New York saved!
