Will you buy THe PRODUCERS Movie Soundtrack ?

I am really debating this. I rarely listen to my OBCR and in my opinion the music, though pleasant, is nothing very special. There is no ground for new different orchestrations, the two leads who sing the majority of the songs are the same, so the only reason to get this is because I love to buy most things Bway related. But is it worth it, just to hear Uma and Will Ferrel sing ?

I have absolutely NO desire to buy the CD. I sort of feel like... I don't know, a "bad theatre fan" or something for it, but the show really didn't do enough for me to even allow me to feel much more than very mild interest in the film as a whole. It seems odd, after my huge investment in Rent for me to be so flippant about my feelings toward the Producers, given that the Rent soundtrack was so huge to me, but... eh. I don't think I'll really care about the differences one way or another, and I have better things to do with my "poor college student" budget than buy a CD simply for the sake of having it on my shelf.

I am to the Producers what Emcee is to Chitty....ive seen it more times than I'd like to say, and yes, I plan to buy the movie disc.

The music is brilliantly incorporated into the show, however it doesn't stand out on its own. I, too, don't listen to the OBCR much. But I enjoy this show much more than others.

But I will buy it. Of course! No brainer.

Ofcourse.

Who dosen't want to hear Uma? I can't wait to hear her.

And plus there will be new songs. And I'm sure there will be some different orchestrations.

I will buy it for sure. The only thing I am pissed about is that KING OF BROADWAY was cut. Annoying as hell...

I'm dying to hear When You've Got It (Flaunt It).

I'm hoping they will put it maybe on the DVD when it comes out to purchase as an extra feature or something (a la 'Class' from the Chicago movie)

Bet your ass I'm gonna buy this.

For me, this soundtrack will be a lot like CHICAGO was for me. I bet there will be versions of songs I might like better (Cannot Do It Alone)..But I am very partial to the Broadway cast. I LOVE OBC. It has quickly become one of my favorite Broadway Shows!

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed, but I must say that I do have quite a scowl on my face about Thurman's "When Ya Got It (Flaunt It)"....I'm sorry, but I love Cady Huffman...I don't think Uma looks "blonde" enough for the role, so I'm hoping her voice can make up for the look...

I didn't even by the OBC, the music is good in the show and works, but on its own, its not as funny or interesting. Considering neither of the two leads have big pipes on them, none of the songs are big belty show stopping songs, so its just kinda like "eh." But I can't wait to see the movie. RENT in November and Producers in December = the best Christmas ever ha.
