I'm fascinated that these Bialystock & Bloom producers are so blatantly ripping off both Wicked and Cirque du Soleil's "O" in their advertising... and getting away with it. Well, maybe they aren't - given the audience revolt.
Now I'm curious -- why were the munckins on stilts?!

The trailer does make it look pretty decent - must be a master editing job.
Anyway, I get that The Wizard of Oz has a lot of sentimentality for some people and offers up a lot of directorial possibilities, but seriously...just do the movie onstage, otherwise the audience is going to revolt. No one wants to see a director's masturbatory "reimagined" version of the story - especially without the famous songs.
