"Somebody wanna send it to me?"
Ditto for me too. lol.
If I am not able to get it from somebody here, I was wondering if it will be in specific stores. Since I live in Texas, stores don't sell that many OBCRs unless they were seen on TV or other media (Legally Blonde, Grease, etc.) but we do have Wicked, Mamma Mia! and Phantom. Just 'cause we aren't in or around NY doesn't mean we don't ever listen to it. I wish we had a larger variety. ::sigh::

Posted: 12/11/07 at 7:38pmJacobsnchz...I live in Texas and I get my OBCRs from Barnes & Noble. The Barnes & Noble here have a large selection. I've purchased many...almost all of my OBCRs from there. I've found common ones like Wicked, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, The Lion King, 42nd Street, Oklahoma, and Phantom there and not so common ones like Mack & Mabel, Merilly We Roll Along, Zanna Don't!, Bat Boy, Songs For A New World, and Parade. I'm positive they'll have Xanadu come February.

The only Barnes and Noble nearby is in Downtown Fort Worth and it is the bookstore-coffee shop B&N store. I called a while back to see if they had the Legally Blonde OBCR and they said that the only B&N where they sell music is farther away.
Love your avatar by the way. lol

Posted: 12/11/07 at 8:09pmI live in Texas and ordered the CD yesterday and got the email today saying it had been shipped. Amazon is usually cheapest so I usually just order online. Of course, PS Classics always tempts me into ordering it directly from them by releasing it a month earlier than what it's available in stores. It's worth it usually.

Posted: 12/11/07 at 9:44pmA friend of mine sent it to me and...it's a rather imperfect little gem. I'm SO glad it even exists, since I saw the very first preview of the show back in May, and was SO intrigued by it, and really wanted it to be recorded (And count me as the only one who STILL misses James Carpinello, yes, even vocally). But there are a few flaws, I think. The instrumentation and production values sound a bit cheap to my ear, and some of the harmonies seem unbalanced to me. I much prefer the live sound of the show, and there just seems like there's something off about the whole recording to me. But, I'm thankful to have it nonetheless.

Posted: 12/11/07 at 10:08pmI got the CD at the theater tonight, got there at about 5:40. I picked up my ticket from the BO and took a little walk. Came back just in time to see Kerry Butler arrive at the theater. Talked to her for a few seconds, then made some calls. Went in bought my CD and these new little gloves that they have now. The type of gloves that are missing the fingers so you can still use them, I needed these for work and LOVE them. They have the skate logo on one of the gloves. They are $15 the CD is $20. The show was fantastic. This was only my second time seeing it. I saw it first from onstage with James C. In early previews. Was in BB105 tonight. Second row PERFECT seat 100% full view. JUST LOVED IT ALL! Kerry Butler is a joy to watch and hear. The entire cast is so spot on. This show really makes me want to work that much harder to succeed in this business. Thanks guys. Look forward to hearing the cd soon.

Posted: 12/11/07 at 10:37pmYes, the only place it is being sold where you can purchase it in person is the Helen Hayes theater. Otherwise, you can order it from amazon.com or psclassics.com. But since you'll be in the city tomorrow then you don't have to wait long.

Yes, the cast album is only at the theatre or the PS Classics website (it is available everywhere Jan 8_)
I've listened to it twice already, and I love it. My only complaint would be that its only 43 minutes long, so they could have included a lot more dialogue. The only real dialogue is in "I'm Alive", "Evil Woman", "Fool", and a tiny bit at the start of "Have You Never Been Mellow?"

Posted: 12/11/07 at 10:39pmI went to the show today, and I got my cd. I was so excited, and it sounds great, but I think certain songs just are not as strong as they are in person, but that is how it always is. But it is awesome, and the show was great too.
