"Awww...that song's on the CD." - Jackie Hoffman tonight, referring to Whenever You're Away From Me during the applause.

I really love it! I was going to go to shut it off after loading it onto my iPod, but now I'm singing along to the whole thing! Glad it got Curtis' tapping and some of the dialogue. So far I think my only notes are that they didn't include enough of Cheyenne's first monologue (but it is a music CD, not a reading!). I wish there was a little more percussion emphasized since it is 80s music, and it adds so much in the theatre.

Otherwise totally digging it. JaredBway, I totally almost the gloves along with 2 copies of the CD, but they guys didn't have change. Next time!

PS Is it wrong that in my mind, I hear the whirr of the mirror coming down from the rafters when I listen to The Fall?

We had such a blast outside the theatre tonight, waiting for the first CD's to arrive... met some of the nicest people !!

Liner notes don't have lyrics...but there's a lot of really nice pics though...

And the first two paragraphs and last paragraph of the very tongue-in-cheek synopsis (by Beane) are hysterical!

Mary sounds incredible on the CD !!!

Listened 3x so far, and her voice is really standing out !

Love the way "Suspended in Time" sounds !! Kerry sounds great !

EDIT: Not to threadjack, but Jackie came out with a menorah tonight, right before "Whenever You're Away From Me"- Hysterical !!!

I need to see this show! The way all of you talk about how great it is and how much fun you have when you go see it makes me want to go buy a ticket right now! haha

I was the guy who ran in last-minute onstage! I was sitting downstage right with Testing and Wheelsinmotion.

Loved the menorah, Testing. Also loved the Star of David and "Babelah" on her arm! Good to be onstage to get a better look.

Anyone else notice something weird on Mellow? It starts with weird verse I don't ever remembering hearing in the theatre. Or is it just me?

Jackie was on fire tonight !!!! Chey's line in the beginning that this "isnt "Rocky Horror" was great !!! (someone kept taking back after his lines) - They shut up right after that !!

Thanks testing! You guys were awesome too! It was really nice meeting all of you! I just got back from the SEAFARER so I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet.

I wish they had bonus tracks of just her adlibs, maybe a special edition 2nd CD you could download, like they did with the Jacques Brel revival last year!

Minor Threadjack - you're going to love Seafarer, some of the best performances in recent memory going on over there!

Does anybody know how fast they're shipping CDs that were pre-ordered at the Helen Hayes Theatre? I placed an order for mine when I saw the show a week and a half ago. I was hoping they might time it so that it arrived on the day of release, but it didn't show up today.

Ok... I still get choked up whenever I hear "Don't Walk Away" live and now the CD... AMAZING!
I'm listening to it for the 4th time right now... lol

The show was HIGHlarious last night... During "Strange Magic" Mary looks at me and my friend John and mouths "I'll effin kill you!" I peed... lol

And during "Suddenly" when Chey crashes into the wall... oy... I had to fan myself back to life... haha
