Yeah, but I read some reviews of Sardi's, and very few were positive.

You're kidding, right?
It's Sardi's.
How does one manage to not have a good experience eating at Sardi's...unless they're shocked that there's no 99 cent lunch menu or complaining that prices are cheaper at the Olive Garden or something.
Well, that's where I read it. And I think I am pretty set with my eating choices.
I will post my new itinerary later.
right here.
I am double-postey today.

i suggest you relax...go with the flow. It will all work out. I know you feel pressure since you will only be there 2days, but you'll be back, right? Trying to keep the schedule so exact might keep you from enjoying the experience. You are doing some amazing things....enjoy!!! Oh, and I hope you'll report back to us and let us know how it went.
Oh, I will.
I just want to have a plan... so I don't waste time wondering what to do next, looking for a place to eat, wandering aimlessly, etc.
I'm a New Yorker and to me Joe Allen is much more fun than Sardi's. It's a fun place to people watch-you never know who's going to drop in. The food is excellent and the service has always been great when I've gone.

Honestly, my ideal NY vacation would include wondering around aimlessly. In my opinion, it's the best way to experience the city.

Wandeto Grand Central and look up at the beautiful art deco ceiling.
Walk up 5th Avenue.
Joe Allen is a good restaurant.
You must have drinks at 21. You probably don't want to afford to eat there.
The Circle Line will give you a nice tour around Manhattan and you can see all the New York landmarks.
Where can I fit in that walk up 5th Avenue?
Also,
When can I fit in a stop at Ground Zero (...where is it?)?
As well, we'll be making a stop a St. Patrick's Cathedral after the NBC tour.
Joe Allen is just soooo much fun-they have a 'wall of shame' for flop musicals! It's a really neat place to go hang out too.
(you never know who's going to stop in!)
La Maseria is fine, but it's a typical Italian restaurant (food at Joe Allen's is typical American fare, but you go for atmosphere.)
Is Joe Allen's anywhere near GREY GARDENS at the Walter Kerr?
It's only two blocks away on 46th. I go there before the show and make it all the time.
Okay. I'll look into it. Is it quick?
So, do you think I could squeeze in St. Patrick's Cathedral, Ground Zero, and dinner all after the NBC tour and before GREY GARDENS.
Well, the walk is around 5-7 minutes-it's only two blocks down and one half block over. Not too bad. And if you make a reservation for 6:00 you should be fine. Tell them you're going to a show.
The service is excellent.
So, make a reservation at Joe Allen's for 6?
That sounds about right.
So, how about Ground Zero?
When would be a good time to add that to my tour?

WTC is even farther south than SoHo. You would not have good enough time between NBC and Grey Gardens to be there.
Red, blue, and yellow, lines lead to that general are (I do not know which is the best...I haven't been since May 2001).
I say, take the subway down to it on Thursday morning before SoHo and all that....that way you'll work yourself back toward Time Square.
Go to WTC early, then go northward to SoHo for a latish breakfast and continue your day as scheduled.
I highly recommend you use the subway instead of cabs...it'll me much cheaper considering you'll be going from Midtown to deep Downtown.
Yeah. I have figured out all the subways for the most part using hopspot.com.

I'm thrilled about that site, by the way!
Are you stagedooring at all?
I may be stagedooring GREY GARDENS, if my parents are up to it.
What would the address for Ground Zero be for use on hopspot?
