Okay. So, I was really wanting to get my tickets for the wax museum and the NBC studio tour in advance because I want to be at the wax museum at 10 and the NBC studio around 1 or 2 in the afternoon the next day.

Should I preorder them online?
I think the museum should be not at all crowded with real people at 10am to 11am (and, you can get improved pricing in person).
Studio tour reservations, on the other hand, are a good idea -- but by telephone. I think tours are scheduled each half hour (maybe 15 minutes in the summer). You will be able to reserve a specific Departure time. It should be easy by phone (212-664-7174), and asking for AAA discount should save about $2.00 (maybe $1.85) per ticket.
p.s. IMHO -- Don't pay full price for the wax museum. [But definitely worth seeing.]
walk to places and after you are tired... that is when you take the cab. we even got one in a terrible rain storm. they were thrilled at the hotel because then they could put someone in the cab from there. REMEMBER to TIP!!!. nearly everyone..even if only a $1.after you shop in soho take a cab back...that is my secret and I am 55, my daughter is 26.
No, SoHo to Rockefeller is not just a walk. Definitely not one I'd recommend for a vacation anyway. You can take the subway up close to Rockefeller.
As for dinner around the Times Sq area, you can also try Cafe Un Deux Trois which is on 44th St btw 6th Ave & Broadway. It's not too far from Legally Blonde either. Ollie's, which someone mentioned upthread, is usually very quick and has decent Chinese food. They're now at 42nd St btw 8th & 9th Aves. If you just want to get a slice, there's a Mi Famiglia on 8th Ave btw 44th & 45th Sts that I like. They've got good turnover so the pizza tends to be pretty fresh. Also not far from Mary Poppins is Simply Pasta on 41st btw 6th Ave & Broadway.
Since you're from Memphis I won't even bother with the BBQ places. Man, I miss Corky's.
Does anyone have a link to the aforementioned package deal with Rockefeller Center/Top of the Rock/Radio City Music Hall? I'm not seeing anything in my searches that combines the three.
I second the earlier suggestion for Sarabeth's CPS for breakfast if you're in the mood to splurge a bit. If not, then pretty much any diner will give you a decent breakfast.
I've never been to Ellen's. It really depends on how busy it is. I've seen sometimes with no waits (from the outside anyway) and others where there are CROWDS waiting outside. No real pattern to it.
I'd have a back-up dinner restaurant just in case.

Sorry, I'm having problems linking: go to http://www.topoftherocknyc.com click on the 'promotions' tab it's the third item down, it's called "Rock Pass"
I agree. About 5 years ago, I was all about going to Ellen's Stardust Diner. I went there last year and I'll never go back. Thanks- I was thinking I was the only one who disliked that place! :)
Sarabeth's looks expensive. Yep, sarabeth's is a little pricey- like I said, $12 french toast is something I only do once in a while, but it is SO delicious.
Ok, I have to ask: is there going to be any time on the schedule to just have fun, kick back and relax, and explore the city? To take an hour or two, and just see where the day takes you? Or is everything going to be on such a timetable? I know you're only here for three days or whatever, in *August*, so some planning ahead is good, no doubt, but I have to say that your scheduling is exhausting me, and I'm not even going on this trip. :)
That's why I said splurge, there are definitely cheaper places to eat. I went there for my birthday brunch once. The food is really good though. Something to also keep in mind is that places in and near Times Square will be particularly pricey. Even hot dogs from the cart are around $2 while it's $1 elsewhere in Manhattan.
We like Joe Allen's for dinner. Lots of broadway types. Last time Harvey Firestein was at the table next to us. Great food too! Joe Allen 326 West 46th Street (betw 8th & 9th)
We're only there for about two days. With Wednesday, we have a morning and then two shows. Then we have Thursday with a morning in SoHO, then an afternoon in Rockefeller Plaza, and them GREY GARDENS.
