I was sitting House Left, Row E. I know who you are, you had an In The Heights bag.

It really wasn't a bad view. For me some things stage right were obstructed, but nothing major.

This is going to be a huge hit.

Wow, Chita and Jarret; I was there this afternoon, too! Last name called- I spoke to you in line, Jarret. :o) I agree with the reviews; I had an amazing afternoon. Going to bring my roommates to the show, soon, hopefully.

I, too, was confused as to why Karen Olivo was there; saw her before the show but assumed she was hanging out before call for WSS. Figured out there wasn't a show today when she was dancing onstage after bows.

I just got back from tonight's show. D 12 (right front mezz). The show was completely sold out.

I have no words to put together a coherent or remotely brief review. All you need to know is "wow." I was blown away. I was in love with it in the park over the summer, but the Broadway mounting has a whole new life. It's breathtaking and beyond anything I've ever seen. And it's truly a theatrical "experience." I had my hair played with and I got a "suck-in" flyer.

RUN to see this show. It's going to run away with Best Revival. No doubt in my mind.

Color, what was YOUR opinion on Caissie? As a fan, I'm curious, and the opinions seem to be all over the radar.

I saw it tonight. I had seen it in the park, too, and loved it then, but oh my God, I loved it so much and I want to see it every day. I could be more articulate than that, but I'm not even going to try. Love love love.

Saw the matinee today. It was phenomenal. I'll post a full review in the morning. Maybe Caissie was just a bit off on the first preview, but I thought she sounded AMAZING today. Unbelievable.

STOOOOP! You guys are making me want to run to Manhattan right now! I'm already upset enough that the soonest I can see this is April...and possibly not even until May.

This is killing me!!!

But thanks for checking in!

along with the other i was there tonight to front row seat 107. this was my first time seeing a production of hair and i was completly blown away. i LOVED the set. the sun on the brick wall on the back of the stage and the carpets were a great touch. wen the show was over will swenson jumped offstage, gave me five and told me to go up on the stage and dance and i did. i danced with half of the cast including caissie for a few seconds it was so fun. great experience from front row. i'm getting another front row ticket as soon as i get paid.

This is the first production that I can remember in quite some time that I really cannot wait to return to. I would see it every night if I could.

I just can't stop thinking about it!

Also: who else is completely smitten with Will Swenson? Or... maybe it's Berger. I don't know!

Well....Berger is a bit of an egotistical jerk...so my vote is that it's Swenson. (I loved him too!)

He is, but he's also just so totally crazy that I kind of love him. Or maybe just... Swenson's version of him. I can't figure out what it is about him, but he's just so wonderful!

I thought Caissie was good. I didn't see any issues at all with her. When Berger ripped the shirt, the look on her face was perfect. I thought she was really good.

And as for being smitten with Berger/Swenson, I'm on the Woof/Ryness bandwagon.

I want to see this SO bad. I saw it in the park this summer and was COMPLETELY blown away by it. But by the reviews coming in so far, its even better. AHHHHHH!

hpeabody - You have noooooooo idea how much better it is. It needs to be seen to be believed. As cliche as that is, it's the honest truth. No explanation can do it justice.

I was there as well tonight, and I loved it! I saw it in the park, and while I think it kept some of that same excitement from the park, it's totally turned into a theatrical experience with the help of the new lighting and set design and some clever stage craft (trap door).

Gavin Creel was perfect. His voice was everything I expected, and his acting was really great. The new Shelia was 10x better than in the park. I actually remember her character now, and her voice was flawless. Sasha Allen was belting her face off.

It was just a wonderful show.

The only thing that I had a problem with, was I wish they had opted for a theater where the mezz could see the first couple rows of the orchestra so that we could see the audience interaction. It's totally nit picky, but that's just my only problem. And the fact that the scaffolding to the boxes were just plain ugly. I wish they had incorporated them more into the set design, and I wish they had used more of the set, like the big door, but oh well.

Nothing to really complain about. It was perfect and will kick WSS' ass!

Just bumping to ask:

did you guys who've gone do lotto? If so, how was it? Super easy? Fair crowd?

My mom and her friend are actually in the city right now, and I'm trying to convince them to do lotto for tonight, but they're hesitant about doing it since there would be 4 of us who'd go, and if only one person won we'd only have 2 tickets.

I'd THINK that it would probably be pretty darn easy to get them right now, but I just wanted to check and make sure! If it's been busy, I figure we can always wait and go another time :)

(sorry, I bet this question has already been asked, but nothing came up when I searched for it and I'm too lazy to actually read through long threads and see haha)

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I did lotto last night. The crowd wasn't huge, maybe 40 people. I don't know if that's because it was a Tuesday and the lotto is an hour earlier on Tuesdays, but I definitely think it's worth a shot.
