...and is it sad that I can't stop listening to it? Ok, don't answer that.

They're just like that couple from "Titanic," only no one dies.
OMIGOD YOU GUYS!!!
That sounds absolutely horrible. How god damn banal.
Bundy is great at trying to sound like Kristin Chenoweth, the song isn't funny, and Broadway inches one step closer to death.

Ahhh! Flashy signature tag!
As for the songs, I've listened to all three promotional tracks, and they were... ugh.
It made my head feel like it was going to explode. Jesus christ, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYyy?

Alright, I admit I liked the movie. Mainly because I love Jennifer Coolidge. But I thought it was a funny movie.
And I will try to see this musical. However, it's just going to sound like it's trying to hard to be "pink." It seemed so natural and right in the movie, this is going to seem like a knock off (::cough:: Legally Blonde 2 ::cough::).
Reese was Reese and she never seemed to feign anything. Maybe Bundy is like Elle, but I fear it's going to be a campy, 2-D performance...and I have the feeling it will have nothing to do with Bundy or the cast.
And please can someone get Richard H. Blake into a GOOD musical.
We didn't know how lucky we were with THE WEDDING SINGER.
Oh, the teen girls are gonna eat this one up.
It'll run for years simply on their girl power.
I smell the return of candlelight vigils.

hey munk...
do you ever have anything positive to say...?
ha! wait nevermind. you dont.
I think we should wait a while before judging the show and and saying that Broadway is dying with it. I mean judge the song, yes, but how can you judge a two-and-a-half hour show on a five minute song? Plus, it hasn't even opened out of town so there's time for tweaks here and there and buzz hasn't even begun because the first day of rehearsals was just a few days ago. I think we should hold back on the judgement of the show.
It could just as well be the next HAIRSPRAY as it could be the next WEDDING SINGER...

The fan girls may love it...but creepy people alone do not make a show run. The majority of Wicked's audience is not teenage girls. More importantly, this show majorly appeals to girls. At least with The Wedding Singer it doesn't only appeal to one gender, despite the love story aspect and the fact that it is a musical. I just cant see any husband willing to sit through this.

I think Larry O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin have done some INCREDIBLE musical theater songs in the past, and I have faith in them, and am very excited to see the final product.
1. dkonbroadway: I have plenty of nice and positive things to say. Why should I say nice things about a wretched song?
2. wickedrocks: I never judged the show. I judged the song.

Check out my thread about Cats. Munk loved Cats. So, there. You've been proven wrong.
Second post from the top.

At least the production has a bunch of super cute dogs in the cast.
WOW! We aren't even going to wait for the dress rehearsal to start judging the show?

I have to agree with you. If this is the opening number it is pretty awful. Let's hope the other songs are better than this one!!!!
The problem with munk is that no matter what he says, he writes it as though he were holding a knife to the throat of anyone who dare disagree with him. All the CAPS and blatant anger and yelling. I mean, dude, go find a punching bag...take a nap... and come back after you have your juice. He's just downright difficult, and there's no communicating with people like that. They just hear what comes out of their own mouths and everyone else is automatically shunned to hell.
