wonderfulwizard- were you the one who she was holding and going "this is really happening... right now." to? haha. If so, I took a picture for you you guys were totes adorbz as Susan might say.
...it'll get here, oh, it'll get here...

Yes, that was us! Me and my friend were freaking out, we're both big fans of Susan.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
And I just wanted to thank y'all for keeping this thread alive! There seems to be some backlash threads that I'm not even going to bother posting on and I'm glad they kept their negativity out of here.
Thank you all again!

I went to this afternoon's performance and LOVED it. I laughed more than I have at just about any other show. A couple of the questions that may well be answered on here already but I don't want to read through 18 pages:
1) Do any of the performers read BWW? If so - BRILLIANT show, guys...my fiancee isn't thrilled that I'm a little in love with Heidi now :)
2) We know we counted three Into the Woods references - the festival one, the "I need your shoe" one, and there was a third one but we can't remember what it was...a little help?
3) The voice mail messages. Were those real or staged? We couldn't decide...
Again, easily one of the most enjoyable shows I've ever seen and I REALLY hope Hunter and Jeff (and Heidi and Susan) get their Tony moments next year!
jason, the other into the woods reference was susan saying "don't say that, of course you were meant to have children".

I also have to say the lyric changes Die, Vampire, Die were brilliant.

wonderfulwizard, the lyric changes in Die, Vampire, Die, were my favorite new addition to the show, but the day I saw it for the second time, no one laughed...
(Spoiler-wait, if you're not looking because it's a spoiler, there's something wrong. Get off your ass and go see [tos]! /shill)
"Your song is repetitive! Your song makes me tired Your song is repetitive! And it doesn't rhyme!"
Oh, and 25th Annual Speller, that's a fantastic pic. Has Jeff taken a vow to wear a superhero-themed shirt every time he exits the stagedoor?

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."
-bjh2114 (on Michael Riedel)
Very funny stuff. We figured a couple of them had to be staged at least, but like the Kerry Butler one sounded so genuine - and given the show itself...
So then, did the Sutton Foster fiasco actually happen?
I saw the matinee yesterday as well and it was simply CRAMAZING! The entire thing was hilarious, heart-felt, and original. I loved every bit.
But as someone who is currently in a college production of Into the Woods (jack's mother), I'm in love with the THREE Into the Woods-specific jokes. It's been a stressful process and I had extra fun laughing at those.
Ok, forgive me for being so stupid, but can someone tell me where the Schoolhouse Rock Parody in the show is? I'm quite baffled at missing it, since I was in a production of Schoolhouse Rock Live, and I watched all the videos growing up...

It's in Original Musical ("I'm an original musical, orignal musical" etc.).
