Wowza -- congrats on being factually incorrect once again.  Keep up the good work, doll!

inception said: "The guy seemed to suggest Lea Michele is diong this along with Kevin McHale, but didn't somebody say in the Chess thread a couple months ago that she's supposedly attached to a new show that will be done first maybe in California? I can't remember all the details of that rumour and it's so hard to search for specific comments here."

That was me and it was a guess on my behalf as Lea was involved in at least one workshop of this musical i was talking about a couple of years ago, but its entirely possible Lea has moved on from it since then.  its also possible she still is involved and this title of show thing happens after that short run.

I still don't understand why Lea would do Title of Show but we'll see.

I mean, it’s not quite Paris Hilton in Mame but… stacking the cast with big names sort of cuts against what the show is explicitly about.

And the book would definitely need to be updated. It was full of mid-00s cultural references and sensibility. Even the concept of rushing to get a show into a major NY theater festival is (sadly) dated now.

Latest Sweaty post says that the Glee cast includes Lea, Darren and Kevin McHale. No word on who rounds out that quartet.

I've made it no secret on this board that I'm a huge Michele fan, and I think she would be fantastic, but I agree with GirlFromOz68. I don't understand why she would want to do this particular show. I don't really believe this rumor, but she'd be great (assumedly as Heidi)!

The idea of Criss and McHale being her co-stars doesn't necessarily inspire a night of great entertainment in me, however. I really don't like McHale's "schtick" and think that more times than not, he's begging for laughs rather than living in the reality of his characters. His Barfée was painful to watch. Criss, on the other hand, is simply not a strong enough vocalist to be a Broadway performer, period. But he's the sole Tony Award winner in this conversation, so what do I know?

If this has to be an entirely Glee affair, which it does to sell, waiting for Jonathan Groff to be less busy would probably be the more lucrative choice. I'd also be curious to see who they'd get for Susan - would love to see Dianna Agron make her Broadway debut, but I don't know if she'd be interested, and the remaining women to choose from from the Glee cast makes this rumor all the more bleak in my opinion, lol.

I do not understand the Glee connection being made to this particular show. "Let's put the biggest names from Glee into [title of show]!" feels like fevered fan dream casting from 2009.

The two men in TOS are gay and talk about being gay, right? Darren Criss has publicly claimed he won't play queer roles anymore, which would technically cast doubt on the rumor of his attachment.

As far as Kevin McHale, I enjoyed his Barfee schtick in Spelling Bee, but... he's 100% doing Martin Short in the show (and quite well- somebody get him into Three Amigos the Musical). Martin Short is already marmite to the public, so homages to him will be equally divisive.

The perspiration guy might just throw stuff out there to get his kicks when he sees people talking about his rumors.

I only started following him on insta after someone else there threw a fit over commments he made about the vampire show thing - the thing based on an 80's movie, I'm getting alzheimers the name won't come to me.  I think the most shocking thing I've gleaned is that he might actually be a hetero.  He's mentioned sucking women's toes a few times.  Really?  I'm supposed to accept the opinion of a straight man on musical theatre?

Please no to Dianna. A certain group of nutters,  who made awful comments about Cory Monteith when he went to rehab ( including wishing for his death) as his very real relationship with Lea got in the way of their fantasies,  would come and ruin it for everyone else.

This doesn't make any sense thematically. If someone wants to put this group together in a cheap show, I'm sure they can find other options.

Its a rumor that has been floating around twitter for the past few days.   He didn't even make it up he  just stole it from the internet.

After Dianna's west end reviews I would think she would never want to step foot on stage again.

That happens a lot and yes a friend showed me the rumour from X days ago , then someone else on tiktok posted about Lea, Darren and Kevin, then someone, in the comments of that posted linked him and asked him if it wss true and he said yes but took several days to post about it so it was not his "tea".

I believe All In recouped. It had a nearly $200 average ticket price and 99.7 capacity during my Erin.

I loooove [tos] and still listen to it and quote it on the regular. But it seems like such a strange show to bring back. I agree with everyone else saying it was a product of its time and its cast. A musical about two guys writing a musical about two guys writing a musical seems like an odd choice for a Glee reunion on Broadway.
