Heading back to the city the end of Febuary- what are the off Broadway shows to see?

"Prodigal Son" and "Her Requiem" both look good.

I'm already seeing Prodical Sun and Nice Fish... Also have tickets to Smokefall (new play with Zachary Quinto with strong reviews out of Chicago) andThe Robber Bridgegroom
also, the Spring shows at The Public start at the end of February (I'm seeing them all but am most excited for Hungry and Dry Powder)
enjoy NYC
Daddy Long Legs in the most precious little show I have seen in a while! It's an open-ended run at the moment, so if you come into the city regularly and have limited shows you need to see you could prioritize them, but don't miss DLL, it's SO good. I just can't get the songs out of my head and the story is so much touching and sweet (in the best possible way). I dare anyone to see this show and not fall in love with it.

I second Daddy Long Legs! I've seen it twice already. So happy they're extending past January now. Yay!

I'm also a fan of Daddy Long Legs.
If you're asking about shows that haven't started yet, I'm looking forward to The Robber Bridegroom.
Besides The Robber Bridegroom, I'm quite excited for Dear Evan Hansen at Second Stage.
EDIT: I just remembered Dear Evan Hansen won't be starting previews until March, which would disqualify it from being considered for your trip. Perhaps if you're back again in the spring.

I would highly recommend "Old Hats" at the Signature Theater. Saw it two years ago, and both Bill Irwin and David Shiner were brilliant with Nellie McKay doing the musical accompaniment. This time, Shania Taub is providing the music and lyrics and is featured with Mr. Irwin and Mr. Shiner.
I had no idea Daddy Long Legs was getting such good buzz. Maybe I should check it out...I love period romances.
Then again, I also didn't know Ken Davenport had his own eponymous theatre until recently...and apparently you can apply for free performance space there with a 50/50 ticket revenue split. Do you think this might be something worth looking into for my original work?
I'm jumping on the Daddy Long Legs bandwagon. Can't recommend it highly enough. I also second Len Gersten's suggestion of Old Hats. I saw it in 2013 and had a great time, and I plan on revisiting it.

I also agree with Daddy Long Legs. I can't stop recommending it to everyone! I love love love it. But I also think Dear Evan Hansen is going to be great- I'm excited for that! And Dry Powder is definitely going to be a must see for me.

I would also recommend DADDY LONG LEGS, based solely on the live streamed version a while back. It's on my short list to see over the next couple of weeks.

I wanna see Lucy Prebble's The Effect at the Barrow Street on account of I haven't seen anything directed by David Cromer that I haven't loved to pieces.

I saw Smokefall last weekend. I thought Zachary's Quinto's performance was great (all the other actors had excellent performances as well), but I didn't love the play in general. It fell short for me. The whole concept of the show was interesting, but I didn't walk away going "wow!" Act 2 was also a bit confusing.
