They only left the lights up for the Overture because the house was still being seated. People were still streaming in at 8:09 when it started. It would have been a HOT MESS if they hit the cue when it started. They should have opened house well before 7:30 for the first preview post Reno.

We got out at 11:30… and I left before bows! That was the sloppiest first preview I’ve ever seen. It might be worse than Woman on the Verge…. And those sets were insane so I can understand why that was a mess. These sets are pieces and not anything overblown.
They REALLY need to work out the tech. Lights, sound, automation…. All really really sloppy!

Gone are the days where shows would make MAJOR changes during previews. These days Sets, lights, etc are way too complex to make big changes. Nips and tucks sure, but big changes require going back into tech and also requires that the show has time and money to do it. Playing an 8 show a week schedule does not allow much time to make big changes to a show.
BUT…. It sounds like TF built tech time into their performance schedule so, I would not be surpri

Tonight the act 2 opener lined up with Hells Kitchen either letting out or at intermission and Joe got stuck and stopped singing at one point.
Seemed like a cluster F from what we were watching. tbh that part was kind of messy. Hope they work it out.

Spam closes April 7th and the cutoff date for TONY eligibility is April 25th. That’s a crazy tight turnaround. I don’t see how they would get this open in time.

I just realized that I have 2 Carrie the musical Broadway souvenir programs in storage! Dunno how I got 2. LOL
These were never sold at the theatre because the show closed so fast. Anyway, I am going to list one on Ebay, but not sure how much to ask for it. Any suggestions?

I was at the Saturday 7/1 matinee and the orchestra was less than 1/2 full. I can’t see this lasting past Labor day… if it even makes it that long.
