Sooo, a $35 bottle instead of a $20 bottle.

My point stands.

Daniel Radcliffe would be a great Ed Kleban in A Class Act who could sell the tickets needed to make this profitable.. Hudson would be a good size house for it..

Was that the reason it was at 99.61% capacity instead of 100%+? Possibly

Does it matter? No, considering it was still at 99.61% and had

Edited to Correct my error.. Yes, Leap of Faith seems to be the only Tony Nominated Best Musical (at least since 1980) to close between Tony Nominations and the Awards. Anything else that had been struggling and closed usually did so a

Since the beginning of Covid, he stated "Broadway will never come back" and all of these insanely dramatic always wrong predictions. Like, when it snowed a QUARTER of an inch, he predicted the shows would be canceled for "weeks". He is just ridiculous with his assumptions and is always wrong. Does anyonehonestly think if these shows were closing in a f

Is the HAIRSPRAY Revival Off?

Same.. and at this point, they might as well wait until 2028 and do a 25th Anniversary Revival on Broadway.

Didn't The Lost Boys announce a 2026 opening at the Palace.. can't imagine QoV going there if that is the case. Though it will be free between Glengarry and The Lost Boys for something limited.

I think Cabaret will stay close to sold out, especially with TKTS/discounts, but I could see the Avg Ticket price dropping down into the $150 range, lowering the weekly grosses to about $1.25M/wk. It was in the $200+ per ticket range for the first part of it's run but fell off to the $170/$1.7M range at the end of Rankin/Redmayne's run. If the advance stays this light through Lambert/Cravalho run they will need to start looking to MUCH bigger stars to pull the grosses they n

Not with those grosses it isn't. BttF has been struggling to elevate to bonafide hit status since it opened. It is probably barely breaking even most weeks and has only played to sold out houses 3 weeks since it opened.

The Winter Garden has too much potential profit for the Shuberts to let an underperforming show stay there long term. They

Guess 5th Avenue's Season

I love a good Season Guessing Game!

TV - Hairspray makes the most sense.. the tour played to a sold out week at the Paramount last year, so bringing it back as the 5th's summer show makes sense, especially if the tour starts to wind down and it closes here, since the original production did its Pre-Broadway tryout at the 5th in 2002, though I'd love to see them self produce a production when the rights are available. (Other possibilities: How to Succeed..., Bye Bye Bi

What Next For The Majestic?
 Dec 6 2023, 01:34:14 AM

to paraphrase.. "What 'Industry Friends'? My Industry Friends came to me from the grave and told me that their Industry Friends were big liars!" :-)

For those having seen Sunset UK, would its full use of the indoor/outdoor space work as well at the Majestic as it apparently does at the Savoy? Would the hotel fka Milford Plaza alleyway/stage door be helpful?
