Impressive that 11 shows managed to see a rise in their receipts this post-Easter week, especially considering all the openings and press comps to go with it.
SUNSET couldn't even crack seven figures in a Nicole week, granted a performance was cancelled + refunded (the bullhorn performance). Happy trails to Diego Andres Rodriguez, can't wait for everyone to see him in EVITA.
106% capacity for JUST IN TIME is unreal!
For those even considering seeing BOOP, CURVES, and/or REDWOOD, I'd prioritize them as soon as you can, you may only have a few weeks left. (DEAD OUTLAW is in similar territory, but they'll probably hold on until after the Tonys.)

I think this was the first Nicole week that Sunset hasn't been over a million. Its obviously because of the cancelled performance.

Always a treat to read your weekly Gloom Und Doom Report!
Dead Outlaw should be fine. It's the new "little show that could". It's weekly gaining money, big word of mouth and an audience.

It's a good sign that Real Women/Dead Outlaw managed to up their grosses in the week of their opening but they'll have to put in some work to really get people to come if they want to hold on past the summer (though Tony noms should give them a good narrative to work with), more so Real Women considering the larger cast/set etc

The comments seemed pretty spot on based on how I interpret the grosses....
I was hoping to get back to NYC this summer to see "Boop!". It is the number one show on my list to see. Now I am afraid that might not happen. Hoping things turn around for them.

God, shut up.

Oh honey, why? Play nice. Everyone comes at it from their own angle.

They easily would have made $1M+ if they didn't have to cancel a performance... Not sure what you're getting at.

Since the beginning of Covid, he stated "Broadway will never come back" and all of these insanely dramatic always wrong predictions. Like, when it snowed a QUARTER of an inch, he predicted the shows would be canceled for "weeks". He is just ridiculous with his assumptions and is always wrong. Does anyone honestly think if these shows were closing in a few weeks they wouldn't have announced it by now? He gets called out for this sh*t all the time (two posters besides me have already done so in this thread alone). He doesn't even see any of these shows anyway, and I just can't stand the negativity.
But, I love you Dame and I hope you have a great rest of the week ❤️
Thanks doll. It’s only Tuesday and it is a long one.
I assume Boop is much more expensive than Redwood, those numbers don't look good. Redwood I wonder if is just breaking even or is it really so expensive that it's not even?

I think the NYT Critic’s Pick will help but honestly word of mouth is mixed.

But that wouldn't get the rise out of people that they always want to do.

Good lord, Jonathan Groff!
Also, after 5-6 months, will ''Gypsy'' like the a one year kind of revival, right?

While I agree with your assessment of the OP and their exhausting and seemingly constant glass-half-empty posts, I'd wager none of these properties would give any indication of any kind regarding closing until after the Tony nominations on Thursday, depending on which way they fall. Looking at the grosses it isn't totally out of the realm of possibility that all 3 could end up posting closing notices sooner rather than later. If Redwood is shut out (including Idina), how much time and $ do they have left? Boop hasn't had a profitable week since it opened. Both of their average ticket prices are (and have been) considerably lower than they need to sustain a long run.. and every time I open social media I see the $79 Redwood discount offer. A historic example.. When Bridges of Madison County failed to receive a Tony nomination on 4/29/2014, it announced its 5/18/2014 closing date on 5/1/2014.. 2 days after Tony Nominations.
So, your example is from 11 years ago, Bridges had been running since January of the year (so months longer than the shows he mentioned), and didn't have producers with hugely deeply pockets. Many, many shows ran for months and months because of the producer's deep pockets despite the not amazing grosses. Boop and Real Women Have Curves have extremely wealthy, famous producers and they are looking to find their audiences. They will hopefully wait longer for these shows to catch on and gain traction, like Maybe Happy Ending did. So, I think some will wait until after the actual awards but understand Jordan (that poster) has been doing this since joining this site. He is always hugely negative and I hope no one takes anything he says about shows closing at face value.

I'm still waiting for Kelly Clarkson to announce her stint in & Juliet to save it from imminent closure.
Woah, that would be huge. I haven't really kept up with that show since I saw it in 2022. It was amazing. Is that a real possibility?

According to Jordan that's been the case since 2023 lol

I would predict Boop! will post a closing notice if they suffer yet another double digit drop this week following the noms on Thursday. It won't move the dial and will all watch Jasmine win the Tony (just like Joaquina Kalukango) long after this wonderful, fluffy shows closes.

I think if people have to pick between Boop, which didn’t really get raves, and any of the recent openings which pretty much all got raves, they’ll go with one of the recent openings.
