I'm guessing Parade will be the tentpole CTGLA (Ahmanson) build their 24-25 Season on. This would be a good choice. The Ahmanson is a much better fit for Parade. I don't think we will find out anytime soon however Ahmanson is always the last to announce.

That was the big omission i immediately thought of. My guess is Ahmanson for an extended run. Or 2024 dates for the next season.

This critique has allot to unpack. I have to say, I disagree with allot of it. Is the current CTGLA season not up to previous seasons, yes. But the reason for that I think differs from most of the reasons listed. Also how do you argue with booking Broadway shows when they sell, even Latin History For Morons by all accounts has been a huge success at Ahmanson. Some of the best shows I've seen at Ahmanson have been non musical transfers ( The Humans The Curious Incident of the Dog In t

Saw the show this weekend, Saturday afternoon. I also thought George was amazing. I stayed after the show and was lucky enough to meet and chat with George for a few minutes after the show, he was very nice and patient with all my questions.

I thought the show as a whole was great, I didn't mind the staging except for some interesting choices for Audrey 2. But as a whole I thought MJ Rodriguez was great and did a wonderful job with Somewhere that is Green. Kevin Chamberlin was

Saw the show this weekend as well and agree with everything, it's a good show with some great music and great storytelling. There are a couple numbers that are problematic and confusing and not well thought out. I could see those numbers cut from the show and you would have a more fluid and sharp production. But I will say for the most part I really enjoyed the show. The cast is superb Judy Kaye and Jeanna de Wall are the standouts for me. The costumes are incredible. I've seen allot

Betty Buckley is out again?
 Jan 25 2019, 06:08:44 PM

I went to see the show on Sunday night in San Diego and she did not perform. They did not make an announcement prior to the show. There was an insert in the playbill announcing she would not perform. I have to admit I was really disappointed, I inquired with some friends if I should see it in LA and hope she performs. I was told don't bother the show isn't that much different with her in it. Honestly I was more disappointed they were no programs for sale.

I saw the show last week and sat in orchestra left G21. There were maybe two or three times that I couldn't see a back up dancer or background action but I never missed any of the central action. Luckily that all takes place at the center of the stage. I didn't feel like I missed any central action in the show.
