2026-2027 Season Tour Launches

I've heard A Beautiful Noise is going non-equity for its third year.

Yeah, of the cohorts of ABN, the Some Like It Hot and Shucked tours also close after the current season. I’m not sure if either has plans of launching a non-equity production. & Juliet I’m pretty sure has another year in it. Back to the Future, MJ, Moulin Rouge, and Six are also expected to wrap up this season.

I wonder if some kind of cabaret tour will launch in the wake of the closing. If they'll do some necromancy and pull the Sam Mendes production out of the grave and attempt to get more of their money back with a cheap attempt of a touring production of a 30 year old production of a show. If not that's fine, I do wonder about the revivals of shows that'll launch tours in the coming year, like the non eq music man revival and whatnot.

Seems like there’s a ton of non eq tours coming to our city next spring. I’d imagine Notebook goes non-eq if they could tour it with the rain for cheap.

Don't forget heathers is launching in spring 2027, which would probably be the end of the 26/27 season

Seems like the time of year where more official announcements and rumored tours will start to drop.

Why would they do a tour after the broadway production was such a flop?

Plenty of flops have toured. Some shows end up doing a better on the road - they close at a loss in New York and recoup on tour. One benefit of touring is that most/all touring houses have subscription models, so each show is guaranteed a certain number of ticket sales through subscriptions.

Per this instagram post, Waitress will be sending out a 10th Anniversary National Tour.

Nothing has implied that Cabaret will tour. If it does I will be shocked

Nothing also implied Waitress was coming back for another tour, but if there's a will there's a way.

Seems strange they would send out a tour when this was one of the most popular shows being done by regional theatres in the last year.

If you look at mti's website, there's only one production running for a weekend in Italy. I guess rights have been revoked to bring it on tour, despite the fact a lot of theatre companies were recreating show's original choreo and sets.

In the instagram post it literally says the Upcoming US Tour. What about that says it's not happening? And where have you seen that it has said "Upcoming Cabaret tour"?

Quite literally the fact that it was silently slipped into an insta post. I wasn't saying I heard there was a cabaret tour, it was a hypothetical question I was asking out of curiosity,

Unless they're, stupid or something, that wouldn't have been there if it's not happening.

Can we do something better with our time than argue over a waitress tour? I'm sure you have a 9-5, a spouse, or something else that would benefit you better than arguing with a high school student about a dumb question he asked 3 months ago.

I didn't realize you are the almighty supreme who gets to dictate how we spend our time. My bad.

I can confirm Oh, Mary will be going out on tour. I’m unsure if it’s a fall 2026 or spring 2027 launch; I know it’s coming to Chicago ‘27.

Baltimore Hippodrome releases their full slate for 26-27 tomorrow. I will post when it drops. The launch of Happy Ending is confirmed for Baltimore. Also known coming is Beauty and Beast. Looks like it will likely be 7 shows in the package, plus 3 optional add-on's.
