I knew there would be issues with her attendance when she was first announced. HELLO, DOLLY! is a physical role and can be quite demanding physically as she’s on stage quite a bit. Her only extensive sitting scene is in Act 2 and still requires her to carry her scenes. They’re not rest breaks.
I remember she had knee issues during her run in SUNSET BLVD over 20 years ago when she was quite noticeably much younger.
For what it's worth, here are instagram posts geotagged at the Segerstrom: https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/726/segerstrom-center-for-the-arts/
(I'm not saying you're wrong, Dame, because maybe it wasn't geotagged, but it's a link to keep handy.)
Do you mean this specific post?

That Instagram post makes no sense. They are leaving at intermission since Buckley is out, and since money is tight, they'll try again at the Pantages? How does that work, usually you need to get a refund before the show... not intermission.
Many years ago, I was at the infamous performance of CAMELOT, where Richard Burton was so damned drunk he couldn't get through the 1st scene, let alone the show. We stayed for the whole show (Richard Parry was an excellent replacement), mailed in our ticket stubs the next morning and got full refunds in the mail a few days later.

Oh brother, you stayed for the whole show, even enjoying his replacement; but yet, mailed in those ticket stubs. There's a name for people like you, it rhymes with creep.
I attended two of her shows in San Diego last week, and I will long remember how special her performances were. I also attended the Sunday evening performance that she missed. No explanation was given for her absence. There was a slip of paper in the program announcing that her role would be played by another. I do hope she is well.
It happens with a demanding role and when you get older ovbiously it's unfortunately happening again..She has the flu is what I've heard...Touring in a show is a lot different then 8 shows a week on BWAY.
Great article in the LA Times though.
Everyone stop attacking her again for being out...So what? CHILL!

Thank You,Robbie!

Who is attacking her? If Cranston would be out this board would explode . When Bette missed one performance you all lost your mind. Same with the Dear Evan kid . Betty is the headliner in a major tour. She has been missing performances. It’s the kind of stuff we talk about here.
