I'll write a full review later but I thought this was absolutely exquisite. For me the material and performances were very strong, tricks and gadgets withstanding. Splurge on front mezz for this one! Don't sit front half of orchestra.

Literally nothing wants/can afford the Majestic right now. They just announced a developmental workshop of Purple Rain for the fall and its never a good sign to go from OOT back to a workshop so I think we're still plenty far away from seeing it in NYC

Let me be clear, I dont think it's going to happen, but I do know for a fact that discussions were had about bringing in the tour cast (since most the year long contracts end like november 1 or something) and just remounting it with the OG set (which is still in NYC storage) and then teaching the show to a new touring cast and sending them out to finish the tour.

From what I know there are only 3 broadway theatres that had the fly height needed for this show.
