THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES with Kristin Chenowith & F. Murray Abraham to open at St. James in November
 Sep 3 2025, 04:59:09 PM

The set has been the thing most interesting part of this show for me; but the Sherie announcement changed all of that.

Sherie is very popular with millennial Broadway fans, but obviously nowhere near Chenowith in terms of name recognition. I hope and think Sherie’s shows will sell very well!

Personally, I don't see Beanie being in the same conversation, because I feel like she was trying to give a good performance. Billy Porter just seems to be o

I think the negative reaction is more disappointment that Muppet’s Christmas Carol is not happening, and a Las Vegas magic act is taking its place.

Can you imagine if airline tickets were able to be resold? You’d have all sorts of people buying up all the important flights, and then making a huge profit on them in the aftermarket.

The same thing that happens to concert and theatretickets. I’m all for the name of the person purchasing the tickets, having to b

How Bad Will the Kennedy Center Honors Be
 Aug 13 2025, 07:44:25 AM

Honestly, I am in complete shock if Michael Crawford accepts this. Anyone normalizing Trump is bad enough, but someone who has made a career in musical theater normalizing Trump is unforgivable.

it would absolutely break my heart, because I have been a big fan of Mr. Crawford ever since I was in the fourth grade.  But the reality is I have cut off family members for their support of Trump, so it will be what it will be.

Thank Goodness for

I'm not running to see a tour cast at Broadway prices.

I’ve seen the show more than 125 times, and Christine is second only to Louise Pitre; and that includes me having seen Carolee.

The set is tour quality, but the cast really is top notch.

Also, can we please stop with "hot Phantom?" Why is he posing for the press photo with his pecs poking out of a half-but

Now THAT is funny! I had never seen this post, and started from the beginning only to get annoyed with the crappy attitudes and then skipped to reply before reading the rest. My

Strange. I thought the post title was asking for people to say their favorite shows; and not to talk badly about other people’s favorite shows.

Why yuck someone else’s Yum?

But add me to your list of worries, because Mamma Mia! is my favorite show as well.

2025 Tony Awards Reactions Thread
 Jun 9 2025, 02:33:06 AM

The horrible LED content was so jarring! Like, if you’re going to simulate sets flying in, then do it at the pace that a flyman  would do them! Coupled with the sound issues, I just can’t understand the direction of this show.

Jennifer Lopez to Star in KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN Film
 Jun 5 2025, 02:24:37 PM

The trailer visuals didn’t bother me nearly as much as it seems to bother others. It’s never going to look like Hal Prince’s brilliant staging, so I’m OK with it looking a little bit more like Mamma Mia! Here I Go Again, ha! I’m just happy (most of) the story is being told.

That being said… My number one trailer pet peeve was utilized with the constant pounding drums trying to build momentum throughout. Why does every trailer

HAHAHA. Right? Rosie is STILL pissed about the $10 million.

I remember when Nathan Lane came back to The Producers he slightly updated the “never put your own money in the show” line to “Never put your own money in the show. That’s Taboo.” That man is perfection.

MAMMA MIA! Will Embark on 25th Anniversary North American Tour
 Apr 30 2025, 05:48:32 AM

My review on page one of this thread is still my thoughts months later, but now with the cast announcement I am a bit worried about the physical production.

The cast is fantastic and Christine is literally one of my favorite Donna’s I’ve ever seen; but this is the entire tour cast which would lead me to believe the entire tour set will be loaded into the Winter Garden for this sit-down; which would be heartbreaking. I know nobody comes to Mamma Mia! for th

The Pantages is eatin’ GOOD this upcoming season. The crossword had me guessing so many different shows, and it turns out they’re adding a ton of different shows! See below, with the asterisks being the add on shows.

2025 - 2026 Touring Season

Broadway in Hollywood sent out an email today about “BIG NEWS” and another show announcement coming next week. They also had a link to a crossword with clues to the show as the answers…

The clue/answers were Dingdong, Showtime, Rollin, Diamonds, Glove, Flower and Queen.

Any guesses?

Trump Awards

How can Trump hate Hamilton?!

The show features adultery, a crush on a relative, back room deals and it ends with an immigrant being shot.

What’s not for him to love??
