New Barbra Streisand Album
 Jun 28 2025, 12:44:31 PM

From what i have heard so far in regards to the new album, she is singing in a very comfortable range, and she sounds glorious in this range...the songs are very easy listening songs which are not really songs that move me, like her selection of songs she used to be able to belt...but that being said it is fabulous to have new music from Babs non the less...

Disney Plus Frozen Pro Shot
 Jun 25 2025, 03:09:22 PM

what i found strange was what they tried to do with all the chorus singers/dancers...they certainly moved around a lot in unison  and i thought that was really weird as it wasn't choreographed well...but i did enjoy the LET IT GO number with the lights and costume change...

Bill Condon's direction for DREAMGIRLS was awful in the second act of the movie as it became all about Beyonce...let's hope this time he directs JLO to an Oscar nomination!

Agreed 100%...Adam was so sexy as well...but if he is now too old , then Adam Lambert for sure!

sad to say i knew absolutely nothing about Ariana before seeing her on SNL...now seeing her in WICKED, i am a huge fan...oh man those operatic high notes in No One Mourns The Wicked blew me away...both Cynthia and Ariana sang perfectly and helped make this movie an instant classic...and yes Ariana was extremely funny...as was Cynthia

while watching this episode, the 7th, i actually found myself saying "wow Patti can really act!"...I'm such a fan of her Broadway roles, but this really pleased me as well!

Name a song from a musical you were sorry to lose in its film version as well as one you were happy to gain.
 Oct 26 2024, 11:12:24 AM

"I Have Dreamed"...is to me the most perfect R & H love song, and to have it cut from the most perfect film of The King & I was a major disappointment to me...i used to sing that song to myself dreaming of the man i wanted to have in my life..so yeah...a great loss...

I saw this amazingly sung show last week in London, and was blown away by the quality of all the voices, both male and female...CAISSIE LEVY got me sobbing out loud singing I MISS THE MOUNTAINS...whether or not this production moves on to Broadway, i am so glad i saw it here in London!
