Teaser Trailer The trailer was release, and the show has some of our favorite theater people - Patti Lupone, Joe Locke and Aubrey Plaza. Bobby and Kristen Lopez have also written music for the show. Really enjoyed WandaVision, so looking forward to it.
Has anyone else been watching? Patti has been excellent throughout, and this week's episode, which is centered around her character, is one of the best things I've seen from Marvel in a while.

I’ve been watching and loving it! This week’s episode was truly an incredible showcase for LuPone.
Without exaggeration, it's some of the best acting I've seen from her. Extremely natural, with none of the Patti-isms we've grown to expect.

A stellar performance in a tremendous episode of an excellent show that has been such a wonderful thing to have in these stressful times and the high point of every week for me.
"I loved being a witch."
I’ll be cursing the tv academy if they don’t at least nominate her. That was an Emmy winning performance!
It’s only been in the last two episodes that I truly think the show came alive. In saying that Lupone has been really watchable and that just screened one that centered mostly on her was outstanding.
I am not a Marvel fan. I had tried at least twice to get into WandaWision, but failed. I don't even really know why I decided to watch this - but "something" caused me to re-sign for a D+ subscription. My adoration of Joe Locke? The social media campaign?
Don't know, but I was intrigued and binged the first 5 eps, only to be knocked off my feet by episodes 6&7. Patti was, indeed, Emmy nom worthy - and they all seem to be having so much fun, at every turn. Overdramatic and meaningful all at the same time.
Cannot believe that it's all over next week.
Rumors abound that there is a Wiccan film in the works? No idea about validity.
William/Billy/Wiccan is historically known as one of the Young Avengers, the backup team to the bigger names. A Young Avengers film has been in the works, or at least rumored to be, for a while now.
It’s been fun over the last couple of days seeing non-theatre folks freaking out over Patti’s brilliance. We’ve known for many, many years, guys! She was the star of the very first show I ever saw on Broadway, the Lincoln Center Anything Goes, she’s been remarkable every time I’ve seen her over the years.
Bravo
Can I skip to the Patti episodes (which ones?) or do I need to watch it all?
Patti’s career has had an amazing trajectory. Feels like her best work has been late in career not early. Are there other examples of this? (In contrast to others who often slow down and dry up a little).

Unfortunately given Patti's story, you do need to watch the entire show for this episode to make sense.

To me, this is the absolute best part of the show: introducing millions of people who have never heard of Patti Lupone and probably never would have except for a Marvel show. That the show is entertaining (if a little redundant) is a big plus.

For what it's worth, it's not a huge time commitment. Most of the episodes are 30-35 minutes without the end credits. Last week's was 41, which was the longest; the fifth is only 24. She also appears in every episode but the first. (I suppose you could skip that one since there is a brief recap at the start of the second, but realistically you may still be confused what's happening without it.)
eta: Also, while others seem to have been lukewarm on the show before now, the second and third episodes are my favorites after this one. They're mostly about introducing the characters of the witches, getting them together on their journey, and watching them bounce off each other. The third is the most purely fun, and I love them both. And Patti does have great moments in both of them.

Last year we got Patti's arguably most hateful role ever, as the matriarch in "Beau Is Afraid," and now we have one of her most endearing, though still morally ambivalent.
I want Patti in one of Rian Johnson's Knives Out movies...

Do we think Lilia is morally ambivalent? I felt like the show ultimately came down on the side of her being good. I thought it was interesting that
when they all landed in the various witch costumes at the trial, Agatha, Teen, and Jen all wound up as "villainous" witches, while Lilia alone ended up as a "good" witch.
Episode 7 was easily one of the best Disney+ Marvel episodes. It's up there with the Loki finales and the penultimate WandaVision episode for me. Patti was SO good and I really hope she's recognized for it.

Marvel has posted thank you messages from the cast on TikTok, and Patti's has the most views and likes, by far: 816k views and 231k likes, with the next being Kathryn Hahn at 521K views and 138k likes. It's wild and amazing that Patti is breaking out into the mainstream at 75, bolstered even further by her past red carpet comments about Trump going viral recently.
Her episode also very quickly racked up over 4 million streams within 24 hours of it debuting last week (the first episode of the season got over 9 mil in a week) and it's at an extremely positive 9.2 rating on IMDB.
It's wild that LuPone is the breakout performer from an MCU series!
It was really a great show all around and shows you don't need to spent hundreds of millions of dollars to make an effective TV show.

Yes- ingenious practical effects, good genre writing, and really fantastic performers were this series' strengths, as well as the freedom to tell their story without doing a lot of franchise table-setting and tying in.

I will agree that her episode was absolutely amazing, she was phenomenal and it was the highlight of the season for me. I really hope she gets a nomination because she was really outstanding in it. It’s one of those episodes I can watch over and over again and never get tired of!
Hope we see more of her in the MCU.
