OH, MARY Reviews (2026 New)

She’s the only one so far not to treat it like a bit of a clown show, and herreadings of innocuous lines like “Amazing!” and “Congratulations!” are seared in my brain. I’d love for her to come back for a small run someday."

I'd really like to see her in the role again, just cause shes the only one I missed and I've hea

Jen Silverman's book is unfortunately pretty weak and Dave needs to punch up the lyrics. But overall I loved this, and it amazed me in the way that really good theater should. Hope to see this make it to NYC.

Little Shop...Who Leads? Anyone know?

Jun 27, 2026 — 12:07:22 PM

FYI I contacted the box office about the length of the run and they replied

"Hello,

At this time, the producers have not informed us of an end-date for Betsy and Ethan's run. Typically, previous lead casts have been in the show for about 3 months. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to guarantee that they would still be in their run come November. However, you are welcome to check back in a couple of months, and we may have a better idea!"

Lin is going to cause a huge advance but this is not a show you will be able to take familes or school groups to and is based on a cult film and the weekly run cost is going to be absurd.

And THAT means I can get tickets comfortably.

I do wonder what the pricing will be like for this. Should

A lot of theaters are going to be vacant in the coming months - any idea of what’s going where?

Did you hear if Dolly was for this November/December or more into 2027 opening? I'm trying to schedule to be there

Is that with Cranston? He just did an interview and it was brought up and it sounded like there were discussions but nothing seemed close to final

I enjoy the show the most when the comedy comes from the trust of the material and a commitment to the dramatic circumstances. It's a silly play, of course, but it is a play! Mary should have an arc. I enjoy it less when it just feels like a string of bits or the performer is commenting too much on every choice

Program quality notwithstanding, the theatre also just sucks. It’s a nice piece of real estate, but is in dire need of a renovation so that patrons who aren’t the size of schoolchildren can sit comfortably.

Yeah Maya just seemed so comfortable as the characer, with all the improv she was doing. And she really milked the physical comedy for all it was worth. She even had a minor line flub in the first scene but it never threw her. I've seen the show so many times and I was in tears laughing with what she was doing

I am reading (on this and other streams) opinions on what is likely to close and when...for a lot of shows. Couple this with the incredibly limited number of productions that have been announced for fall openings, and one does conclude that there is a good chance that a lot of theatres are going to be empty at the same time, and that much of what remains is going to be the old war hors
