GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS To Play The Palace Starting 3/10/25
 Dec 10 2024, 09:35:18 PM

Most uncomfortable I’ve ever been at a show was the mezz at Kiss Me Kate at Studio 54. The usher took pity on me and let me sit in a folding chair next to him for the second act to my great relief

For those that have been there since the remodel, do you think front row of Mezz or Row N on the center aisle would be better? Was sort of surprised the first row of Mezz tickets were so (relative to CORCH seats) cheap

EDIT: Are they not selling Row AA in the Mezz? Looks like it starts at A and AA is blanked out, or maybe AA was the first row before the remodel

There are evening performances that are also $99. I hoping the view is not terrible and it's just Mr. Clooney trying to make sure there are some affordable tickets. He seems like he would do that but who knows?

Sorry I meant Mezzanine not matinee, brai

I would say these dates are extremely firm.

Yeah I figured an extension was unlikely, thanks

Saw this tonight and liked it a lot more than I was expecting based on all the general negativity I’ve seen on here and elsewhere. Not sure it was saying anything as important as it thought it was, but I enjoyed it for what it was

Saw this last night, and pretty much had the exact same thoughts as when I saw it at Berkeley, the first half is a lot of fun and the second half drags. And I never felt like the characters earn the ending they try to present. They did a few things I thought that improved the show since I saw it in CA, more ensemble members, change up on some of the songs, but it’s largely the same from my memory

If you sit down with the lyrics and really focus...maybe? Reading a synopsis of the plot and then listening helped me out a lot

Really enjoyed this, wonder if they do stage this if it gets fleshed out with some dialog or action set pieces in between songs. It's not super long

I couldn't get the lyrics book to open for me at all. I tried on several devices, it either didn't open or just opened to a new blank page. Lin put it up on genius too though

I'm in the middle of it now, and this is quite ambitious and pretty great. Someone is definitely going to throw money at this to produce it on stage I assume

It's a fan edit to match up with the original show. This is galling?

I was surprised by how well it was selling when I went to get tickets too. I figured I'd have pick of the theater but a lot were gone. We saw it in Berkeley and my wife lived it and wants to see it again. I liked it a lot, but thought the first half was much stronger than the second.

Denzel Washington to return to Broadway in OTHELLO?

True -- but the next row back is $420, and the row behind that is $320.

And if you want to be closer, they have row B(on the sides) at $620 and row C at $320.

It all depends on how you to choose to cherry pick in order to suit the pre-determined premise...

"

Yeah for sure, I'm for sure going, and I'll be more selective picking se
