Broadway Scavenger Hunt (NYMF)

Hey all,

Has anybody done this? Sounds like it could be fun. Is it a good challenge, or is it made to be touristy and easy?

Musical Theatre Minors?

Hi, I've searched this and didn't really find anything.
Are there any schools who have good music ed programs, but also have a musical theatre minor?

re: speeling bee bleachers..
 May 14 2006, 12:00:56 AM
last time i was there i was wondering that too (about whether or not the bleachers on stage move on their own) and i looked specifically for that and i'm pretty sure the cast moves it. and theres tape marks as guides for where it goes. it rotates and then moves a little on a track for the "life is pandemonium" scene but the cast does it all =)

to no shame never playing the fame game"

re: MEGAN HILTY!

megan's glinda is much similar to jennifer laura thompsons i think, so i'd credit JLT with most of the re-creating, she's still awesome though.

re: Dancer Sues 'Movin' Out' For Firing Over Breasts
 Mar 21 2006, 09:53:29 PM
How is that grounds for sueing the show?? I understand the verbal abuse and stuff, but if she had auditioned for the show after her boobs grew she probably wouldn't have gotten it, right? And can't that happen in any show? Maybe not for the same exact reason, but for gaining or losing too much weight or something liek that.
re: Broadway Ushering

hey, how old do you have to be to do this volunteer ushering thing?
re: Okay Singers, I Need Your All's Help PRONTO!
 Mar 4 2006, 01:58:02 PM
Don't talk all day, but hum at a comfortable volume, only where you are comfortable singing, even if it's only on one or two pitches. just get your chords to start vibrating wherever they can, don't push it. and drink lots and lots and lots and lots of water, and especially after the show don't talk, just go straight to bed, and if you coudl get a vaporizer or something to that effect for while you sleep it would probably help. good luck!!
re: RENT Benefit Lottery Policy up.
 Mar 3 2006, 11:09:39 PM
wow. i'm SO there =)

i think this is a much better idea than the online lottery also. too many people would know how to cheat and give themselves multiple entries and stuff like that.

sorry for the stupid question- but is this the reunion show thing with all the original cast members?
re: Auditioning for Broadway - 'Strong Singers Required'
 Feb 23 2006, 05:26:59 PM
i'd go for it =) maybe you have something the others dont, that will compensate for a killer voice. look at Daphne Rubin-Vega and Rosario Dawson......they're not the greatest singers, but they were both really amazing as Mimi.
