MIAMI (March 21) - A Miami-based dancer is suing the owners and producers of the Broadway musical "Movin' Out" for more than $100 million in damages on grounds that she was emotionally abused and fired after her breasts grew too large for her costumes.
Where the cupboard once was bare, now you knock and someone's there
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
How is that grounds for sueing the show?? I understand the verbal abuse and stuff, but if she had auditioned for the show after her boobs grew she probably wouldn't have gotten it, right? And can't that happen in any show? Maybe not for the same exact reason, but for gaining or losing too much weight or something liek that.
If you read the actual legal papers, the weight issue is minor compared to the other issues of sexual harrasment, physical abuse, intimidation by management, and lack of proper, sometimes no, medical care. There seem to be grounds for suit on many levels. Many people feel that performers should just shut up and be grateful for the job, but this is above and beyond what anyone should have to deal with. Remember, it was Ziegfeld (a producer) that said, "the show must go on" as he kicked a dancer with a broken foot on stage. Now every performer has adopted the mantra. There have to be standards and protections in any workplace.
i can understand being frustrated because your boobs grew, but is that enough to sue? yes, i also can imagine the agony but really... i'm not saying i don't feel her pain, but it's a little over the top.
what about the spamalot lawsuit? i missed that!?
you say i'm weird! look at everyone you're sitting with! and hey, those guys over there just threw napkins up in the air like they were on something! it's contajous! you can't help it!
My personal favorite line is the last one about ballerinas' boobs versus musical theatre actresses' boobs. LOL

Ballerina's generally have no boobs..............seriously I work in a ballet costume shop and the dress form we use has the breasts cut off!! I kid you not. Everytime I see the poor thing I feel sorry for her!

The fact that this girl had a size C cup and a size 0 dress size is hard enough to believe in the first place. Let alone for her to maintain a frame that thin with a D cup. The whole case seems a bit questionable all the way around.

I'm a guy so I could have this wrong and I'm also southern you there's two chances I could be wrong. That doesn't seem impossible. With the right food and the wrong work-out plan its seems possible.
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.
Speaking from personal experience, size 0 (or 00, for that matter) and D cup are not mutually exclusive categories (although most clothing manufacturers seem to think they are, but that's another story). However, suddenly going up a cup size when you're in your 20s and presumably done with puberty seems a tad fishy.
"There was this one time an alarm went off - it was in the middle of '24.' That's just wrong. Everyone knows everyone was watching '24' at that time."
--NYU student quoted in the Washington Square News about students ignoring the frequent fire alarms in dorms
It depends on how late in her 20s she was. If she stopped dancing 8 shows a week (even if she did stay in shape, I doubt that she did as much exercize as she would performing), it is quite possible that her breasts would grow. When I start to gain weight, my brests are one of the first things to change and the last thing to go. Also, if she went on the pill or something, her breasts would also grow. Lastly, if she was in her early 20s, depending on how late she began puberty, it is possible for breasts to grow.
The fact that she made a website for her lawsuit is weird. Does she really think this will help her cause? Links to all the stories about her case make her seem like a media whore. Im not saying she does or doesnt have case but the website is over the top.
