The Last Ship at the Met

Jordan Catalano said: "Shaggy is in it and I’m so confused by his presence. Was this character in the original? It seems a completely pointless character in the show and was the one thing I was greatly confused by."

Baffling.

Where Did Las Vegas Go Wron

Since the Smith Center was built, there have been a string of successful seasons catering to the Broadway tours. Additionally, the Venetian is now getting their toes wet by booking engagements of The Book of Mormon and Mrs. Doubtfire. Las Vegas is not NYC, but it is holding its own.

Also, this was just published in the Las Vegas Weekly about the local theatre scene

Pink to Host the 2026 Tony Awards

Since this thread kind of died, I think P!nk deserves a big round of applause. She knocked it out of the park and I appreciated her awareness and ability to poke fun at herself.

I would be totally fine with her hosting again next year.

The Buyer Got Smarter Than the Box Office

I've become a huge proponent of using A View From My Seat. It's helped me figure out what the cheapest seat is I can get in a specific theatre without sacrificing the viewing experience. This has allowed me to still buy tickets ahead of time and not get stuck spending my morning doing rush or TKTS.

Also, to that end, I compared what I paid for Ragtime to the TKTS booth for a Saturday matinee and my ticket was $10 cheaper purchased directly from the show.

SMASH To Close June 22, 2025

I did enjoy watching that.

Maybe they'll redo the whole show and make it the Bombshell show everyone wanted in the first place.

Also, we are probably robbed forever from ever getting a "Hit List" adaptation, if there was ever the slimmest of chances of that ever being created. Big bummer.

Pink to Host the 2026 Tony Awards

1. P!nk is going to be amazing.

2. Even if she isn't, who cares? You'll still be getting 10+ performances to watch on YouTube or your favorite bar at showtunes night.

Everyone's a winner.

RAGTIME 2025 Reviews

Has there been any discussion on a Proshot for this production? It seems like it would fit in perfectly for PBS Great Performances.

THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW reviews

Saw this on Friday. Callouts were minimal. Energy was fine. Luke Evans is great.

THE LOST BOYS Reviews

I just saw this and my only question is - how the heck is this going to tour without restaging the whole show?

That theatre is the worst.

They took a similar marketing strategy as the first film, rolling it out in incrementally larger markets to build interest for the mainstream market, and I think it’ll pay off.

Also, let’s keep expectations reasonable. It’s primarily meant to be an effect-reliant spook show, with maybe a better-than-average story for a

Paranormal Activity Ready to Spook Broadway

I liked Paranormal Activity more, but also enjoyed Stranger Things.

It has some cool moments and is worth it if you appreciate some tech wizardry and stagecraft (though nowhere near as impressive as Stranger Things). Beyond that, there isn't much there. The script is very meh. Unengaging and unexciting. And I say that as someone who is a bit of a horror nut and is a big fan of the film franchise that the show is inspired by."

As a horror fanatic, I'm

Paranormal Activity Ready to Spook Broadway

Website is setup to register interest.

Will play Boston's Emerson Colonial first for strictly limited Pre-Broadway engagement from July 11-30.

Having seen this in L.A. I can't wait to see it again.

The Rocky Horror Show Expectations

This is the most non-answer I've seen. This is coming from the production, yes?

The Rocky Horror Show Expectations

OnStage Blog Post

I am headed to see this at the end of May and I still have no idea what is expected in terms of audience decorum. Are we yelling or not yelling?

BEACHES Previews

Wasn't this show only meant for a limited run and then to go out on tour?
