Some notable snubs already: Lea Michele, Ayo Edebiri, Adrien Brody.

I am Lea Michele fan and a bit disappointed she did not get nomination.

these are terribly on point this year so far.

It is wild that Lea Michele didn’t get nominated. I guess she is never going to live down some of the hate.

Me too, but she was terribly miscast in Chess. Too bad for her. Next time.

I’m not super surprised by Michele being shut out, tbh. She sings the hell out of it, for sure, but it’s otherwise a bit of a flat performance in a surprisingly thin role.

It probably has more to do with the fact that the 6 women who were nominated are giving better performances than Michele, rather than "hate".

This marks quite a run for Kelli O'Hara, nominated for her ninth Tony in nine shows.

so far VERY few surprises...
Musical and Play are exactly what we thought they would be (I thought Punch had a small shot of sneaking in as a 5th).
For Play Acting, I guess its notable that Laurie Metcalf didn't get nominated for Bear Ridge--i thought she might have bumped one of the Fallen Angels. And I'm thrilled Will Harrison snuck in--I could have seen that slot going to either Micah Stock or Adrien Brody.
As for Musical Acting, no surprises with the men, and while I am personally not surprised about Lea Michele's snub, I thought that 5th slot was going to be a nod at Beaches via Vosk, so Hsu seems like the surprise there.

Hey, all four nominated new musicals probably won't make it to Labor Day either.

Six? I might be missing something, but don't you mean five?

Everything else has to wait until 10:00 to be announced? This is so stupid...

Nominating two plays for Best Score over both Beaches and The Queen of Versailles... WOW.

Definitely shocked at Lea Michele’s snub. I agree that in a more competitive year, she would’ve been knocked out easily, but it seemed all but predestined until Hsu got (deservedly) bumped up and ran with it. It must probably mean Michele was the nominee most on the bubble the whole time (since Chenoweth, Vosk, and Barrett had no chance)

Surprised Uranowitz was nominated in the Lead category. I would have thought they might have tried to get him in supporting so he wouldn't be competing against Henry.
