I think this could be fun for the upcoming revival... I guess the same could be said about Damn Yankees.
I would love to see someone like Corey Cott, Cheyenne Jackson, Aaron Tviet, Derek Klena, Joshua Henry, Tam Mutu, Jonathan Groff I think would have the time of his life, Ashley Parker Angel, Mark Evans, Alistair Brammer, Isaac Powell

With this one it's hard to know who's going to be down to bear it all 8x a week on a nonprofit salary.
If you're primarily referring to Jerry - the character is 32, though Patrick Wilson was 28 in the original.
Curious to see how race will play into it, beyond Horse. In 2027, will the show feel like it's perpetuating the [ahem, idiotic] myth of blue-collar white men who feel "forgotten" by society and view you-know-who as their savior? It's different out there now vs 25 years ago.

I imagine with the Yazbeck connection, Andrew Durand would be a top choice.

The premise is that this is a group of “average” looking guys who come into their own through the experience- the very talented bunch of gentlemen that you’ve mentioned would be hard to pass off as “average,” especially some of the really ripped ones (e.g., Jackson, Henry, Angel, Powell).

I'm going to confirm Durand as Malcolm in my mind right now. I've seen Cheyenne Jackson solo enough times to know that "Breeze Off the River" is a mainstay of his cabaret act and that this is one of his favorite shows, but what part is he right for now at this age?
There was a reading in 2019 helmed by Silverman which included Stark Sands, Debra Monk, and Adam Chanler-Berat, who curiously enough is doing Monty in Japan soon: Broadway Buzz article from 2019. Maybe it's ancient history, or maybe there will be holdovers.

To my understanding, the cast is already set and they’ll be workshopping it over the next year.
However, thinking realistically, my picks would be:
Jerry: Will Swenson
Dave: Josh Gad
Malcolm: Javier Muñoz
Harold: Danny Burstein
Ethan: Wesley Taylor
Horse: Norm Lewis

oak as the character of horse
until he is fired for never learning the part
then replaced by mandy patinkin
making that characters iconic song a bit awkward

According to ChatGPT, the age range of the primary male cast is usually as follows:
Jerry Lukowski – mid to late 30s
pDave Bukatinsky – late 30s to early 40s
Harold Nichols – early to mid 40’s
Malcolm MacGregor – late 30s to early 40s
Ethan Girard – 20s to early 30s
Horse (Noah T. “Horse” Simmons) – 50s

I also tried to think of people who could reliably pass with some level of flexibility.

I understand that - but I will say, I believe most people will suspend their disbelief to see any of those mentioned, playing as if their were just "average" looking and stripping... I would say the audience would forgive such difference

I think it works if Jerry is conventionally attractive, but the other guys are more average across a variety of types. Suspension of disbelief is one thing, but the point of the show (among other things) is that confidence is sexy: it's going to be less interesting unless the men are underwhelming when they strip down in act 1, only to root for them and find it genuinely exciting when they finally get their acts together.

Greg Hildreth is all but a lock for casting.

I'm guessing there will definitely be Yondr pouches for this production.
Alex Brightman as Dave Bukatinsky.

I'd much prefer Will Blum for Dave.

I feel like Drew Gehling or John Behlmann will be in this. Maybe both?

I’ll give it another whirl:
Jerry - Skylar Astin
Dave - Alex Brightman
Harold - Steven Pasquale
Malcolm - Sam Tutty
Ethan - Corey Cott
Horse - Norm Lewis
Jeanette - Andrea Martin

It will be a gender-bending all-female cast!

I keep thinking Bonnie Milligan would be great as Vicki. How about Andrea Martin as Jeanette?

Norbert Leo Butz?

My pipe dream is Joanna Gleason as Jeanette.
Tom Francis for Jerry? Yes, he's young, but by the time the show opens he'll only be a year younger than Patrick Wilson was when he did it. Plus, I think that Tom reads older than he is. He certainly did in Sunset Blvd.

In other words, I just want to see a bunch of hot naked men on the stage. I know others will agree. And we all promise to suspend disbelief and pretend they are average. Insert eye roll.
Now back to reality, and what the musical is really supposed to be about.
No suspension of disbelief necessary.
