I was praying that these rumors weren't true...I just don't see the fit here at all.

I'm sorry if it sounds rude, unfair, or like I'm jumping the gun, but I just really feel like this amazing role is wasted on her.

What happened to all of the big, brassy, larger-than-life actresses who should have been selected from for this part? This makes me sad.

The role has been changed to a thinner character. Probably to make costume changes easier, esp. if she has a song called "Wasting Away"

maybe the costume is really big?, so that way she's thinner for when she is Venessa.... or even worse Ursula carried by 8 other actors playing the part of her tentacles on "heelies".

I agree about the weight issue, it just fits the character so well. But, Sherie’s acting and singing will be amazing. I think she is one of the best young female artists around.

Skinner did NOT want to do the role.
Not many people wanted to be involved with this musical.

They're going in a completely different direction with the character, and making her a sexpot.

Could be interesting.
