I don't normally write reviews but considering some of the reviews I've read for this show and toomeytwopiece's comments, I thought I would put in my two cents as well... I have seen some of the reviews for this play but stopped reading them because I think they are quite off. This is a worthwhile piece of theatre that should be seen and people should go see for themselves. I found this play refreshing, exciting and interesting. Perfect? I was wondering the same thing - perhaps Kathy Fitzgerald is Roz or Margaret. That would be a hoot!

Great piece! O'Hara was wonderful in the show.

The role is hardly brain surgery, and as noted above was ripe for stunt casting in the last revival, I'm sure it will be fine.

The Cabaret revival at Studio 54 also won three acting Tonys. The original South Pacific won all four acting Tonys in Musicals.

Yes, I believe at the exploratory reading/wkshop Stephanie Block was Rosie and Gavin Lee was Albert. That pairing plays better to me, age wise, than Hyde Pierce and Neuwirth - both of whom I think are too old for the roles.

It's fun. I was expecting shorter too, a la Martin and Gaynor, but it looks great.
