Aug 6, 2008 — 12:54:31 PM

I'm trying to think of some, but none come to mind.

The Life of the Party from The Wild Party (Lippa), because it's a show stopper and one of my favorites by Idina.

re: Best act 1 finale

Spring Awakening - the Hayloft scene, just because it is so awkward standing in the Ladies' Room during Intermission. Also, I love Coming Up Roses in Gypsy.

Hilarious Comments...

Unbelievable PocketsquaredFanadu! Well they knew matinee ladies weren't going to love it. At intermission... "Is it half-time?" "Yeah, I think it is half-time."

re: Gypsy CD signing?

Jul 22, 2008 — 11:45:17 PM

It will kill me not being there! If I could pick one CD signing to go to at this point, it would be this one. I want to see the LuPone when placed in a different environment!

re: Who was the nicest Broadway actor or actress you met?

Jul 21, 2008 — 4:53:28 PM

Johnny Gallagher and Jon Groff - They each spent literally ten minutes speaking with me. They are both so thankful for all their support! Matt Morrison - He was really funny and charming, and rode this awesome motor scooter away from Piazza. Lea Michele, Victoria Clark and Kelli O'hara - They got hearts full of love! Jennifer Laura Thomspon - She was incredibly kind (but had a jerky bodyguard). Norbert Leo Butz - He personalized both me and my sister's Playbills, along with any other kid wait...

re: Who has the perfect, pure voice?

Jul 21, 2008 — 2:12:07 AM

As far as clean sound goes, I have to agree and say Harvey Firestein. Also for real as far as female voices: Sherie Renee Scott Laura Benanti Sara Ramirez Lea Michele Kelli O'Hara Lea Salogna ...especially in specific songs.

Ooph, what an emotional roller coaster ride on my young heart. YAY! no. YOU GOT ME! I've always wanted to be punked.

re: The Perfect Musical?

For the record, "Little Lamb" IS perfect. When Laura Benanti sings it.

re: Spiderman Open Calls

I thought this show was just a rumor somebody started as some sick joke! I mean, Jim Sturgess starring as Peter Parker, Bono making a rock score about a superhero in spandex - just imagine it for one second! Was I ever mistaken. Maybe it won't be that bad. But as someone who only visits the city about once a year... I don't think so. I can still enjoy it through threads like THIS!

re: Patti did some LuPwning of her own tonight

Jul 13, 2008 — 2:25:53 AM

God damn, the bottom line in theater etiquette is to KEEP YOUR PHONE OFF. FOR REAL. Kudos to Patti. In my own experience, at the show one week ago after Rose's Turn, naturally I came to my feet in order to give Patti her properly deserved ovation (I mean, HELL). Most of the audience was standing as well, I think. About 10 seconds before everyone began sitting down, the woman seated behind me viciously snapped, "SIT. DOWN." It was just awful, and made me feel nervous like I did something wrong...
