Come From Away anniversary concert tickets now on sale

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

This was not advertised sooner because all the outdoor seating went to the incredible survivors, first responders and victim's family members. What a beautiful tribute and a great idea. A free musical for everybody to enjoy on hopefully a gorgeous day. How incredibly special for all heart

I wish we would have received a heads up about when they would go on sale. It sold out within minutes. Extremely disappointing

At the same time though, I do think it’s only fair and reasonable that the in-person outdoor seats are reserved for the survivors, the first responders and loved ones of those we lost on that day 25 years ago.

Free tickets are available for general admission.

Which is the only thing that was ever available to the public. There were never any tickets on sale for the outdoor seating, as I already explained.

There were general tickets; they just sold out of them. I got an email from PAC when they went on sale that had this:

To observe the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we will be holding two special concerts on Friday, September 11 and Sunday, September 13 as part of "Sounds of Remembrance." We invite you to reserve your seats to these free concerts. Availability is limited and seating is first come, first served. When seating for the live event is full, we will have spots open for the simulcast that will be hosted onsite the same day.

The NYPhil concert on 9/11 is sold out for simulcast now, too.

Maybe they announce the Broadway engagement shortly after? Plenty of available theaters this could jump into for 10-12 weeks.

Since the concert was announced, there was an email notification signup on the PAC website. I signed up, got my notification and immediately secured my tickets. It was sold out within minutes.

No. This cast and creative team lacked interest. There are many productions of this all around the country. This did not stand out . For being in NYC near where the towers stood - this should have been better curated in cast/creative. This deserved more than serviceable treatment.

CB, what are you on about? I went looking on the website again and the digital program is up with the cast list. There are many of the Broadway cast in the concert, including Jenn Colella and Joel Hatch.

How "curated" did you want this to be? Did you want Audra, Patti, Norm, and Mandy? I rather have cast members who have a personal connection with the show as they've done the show than some star event.

Joel Hatch, Astrid, Tamika Lawrence, Jen Collela, Happy McPartlin, De'Lon Grant, Emily Walton, Jim Walton, Pearl Sun, Paul Whitty, Sharon Wheatley all did the original run. Is that not enough for you?

If anyone has any hook up for the Simulcast, since the free outdoor concert seems a long shot, please let me know! Also, because I cannot find this info for the life of me, what time is it supposed to start? 5pm?

Yes starting at 5pm! I'm genuinely not sure how they are going to be handling the simulcast now that the outdoor performance has been moved inside due to the weather...

This was a stunning performance. I had simulcast tickets initially but they called waves of us into the main theater (where the concert was held after the outdoor option was scrapped because of the inclement weather), and we ended up getting seats in the front row. The cast performed the whole show (including the dialogue between songs), with minimal props, and it all felt so special. To see this group singing these songs on the WTC grounds: It was all so moving.

Almost everyone in my row seemed to be crying, and multiple cast members on stage were in tears at various points. A really beautiful evening. I saw Chris Ashley, Ian Eisendrath, Sue Frost and some other Come From Away OGs in the audience, too. Bravo to PAC NYC and everyone involved in this.

Yes, it was a beautiful performance. Having attended the invited dress rehearsal that they had for 9/11 family members for the Broadway run back before previews started and then getting to be there tonight was a really unique full circle moment, made all the more surreal by the fact that upon stepping out the doors after the performance, I could just walk right across the street and visit with my dad's spot on the memorial. The band and cast all sounded fantastic, and there seemed to be a special level of connection between the cast and audience tonight (and as CLC3 mentioned, there were moments when even the cast was in tears). I feel really grateful to have had the chance to be there tonight.
