On Wicked's fan page on facebook, it was announced Jennifer DiNoia would be departing the role of the standby on the 26th (I believe). There was a rumor earlier this summer that Stephanie Torns was going to be promoted to standby, and Carla Stickler would be replacing as new u/s. There have also been rumors of Alyssa Fox replacing Jenny, and Carla Stickler replacing Jenny Fellner as Nessarose. as well as Felicia Ricci replacing as standby. Is there any truth to any of these?
Also, Teal and Katie are both signed through next month. Any Idea on either of their replacements? The obvious guesses would be Donna Vivino and Chandra Lee Schwartz, but there is no actual reason to believe that at the moment.
I would really like it if Vivino and Schwartz would be the replacements. I thought their performances were terrific when I saw them on the tour in May 2010. I would also like for Carmen Cusack to play the role on Broadway someday.
As much as I do love me some Kate Shindle she is going to BLOW her voice doing that show! Please get someone who can actually vocally handle it! I think Vivino would be excellent!
I have always wanted Kate in a leading role where I can just watch her belt her face off the entire night and not just one or two songs...this will be phenomenal and will probably cause me to revert back to 7th grade wicked obsession. Like I might see it multiple times.
For some reason I HIGHLY doubt Vivino is gonna return to the role...in the standby capacity. If I remember correctly...she actually said in an interview or something that she want's to return to the role. So maybe...I dont know...it just seems odd to go from the lead position to standby.
Kate Shindle...that girl NEEDS to be Elphaba. She is amazing..."No Good Deed" would be the best thing on Broadway
"Life in theater is give and take...but you need to be ready to give more then you take..."
Kate Shindle is the only person who could get me back to the Gershwin. Let's hope it's true. And anyone who says it would shred her voice has obviously never heard her sing.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

Shindle would be a reason for me to go back as well, and hasn't she been somewhat vocal about wanting to do it? But isn't she in Enter Laughing right now, or is that over somewhat soon.
She did, however, start to lose her voice quite a bit in Wonderland, but with the crazy end note in "I Will Prevail," I'm not surprised. She wasn't sounding too hot on closing night, and literally cracked at the end note.
I also think Kate's a fine actress... Didn't know I was in the minority there. Or perhaps she just learned a lot from the Wonderland experience or what not, but she had to be all over the map for what that role was worth.
Kate is a very fine actress. Her Sally Bowles was one of the most memorable I've seen, vocally and dramatically. Also, I saw her in a crappy little show at NYMF a few years ago and her comic timing amazed me.

Yo suttonfoster, I've been wanting anneliese van der pol as glinda for a long time. They would be absolutely perfect together. I would actually want to see wicked again multiple times.
