I suffered through this last night and absolutely hated it. The set “design” was laughable. Each scene had one thing on the stage at a time. At one point people were playing cards just standing around making it seem like they couldn’t afford a table with chairs.
Some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen on a stage. Some of the worst and most perplexing direction. The final scene takes place on a diagonal strip of carpet that none can seem to get off of making for interactions I assume the director thought would be funny but was painful to watch. This is by no stretch of the imagination a comedy because there’s nothing funny nor jokes.
They repeat the line “we’re SO BORED” and I wanted to shout in agreement. One character even says “this is torture” which was another apt descriptor of the play itself.
For a show that’s papering every performance I’d say it was about 1/2 full and for some reason they’re cramming seats in where they don’t need to be since no one wants to attend anyway. "Strictly" limited engagement made me laugh.
