The hardest Tony category to define. And the one performance that defines i

Also, I went to read the review of Schmigadoon that was scored a 100 from "the Recs" and saw a five star review there for The Lost Boys that was not listed on your website.  Perhaps because Lost Boys was the last show to open of a very busy week and your site did not catch some of their reviews that came out late but maybe you can still add it as that same critic counted for the scores of Beaches, The Balusters and Schmigadoon.  I really like the site, just wanting to

The hardest Tony category to define. And the one performance that defines i

Appreciate the effort that went in to this! Please take another look at the show pages for The Lost Boys and Jellicle Ball as there seems to be some data input errors on their awards sections. It may not substantially change the weighting but if the goal is to have a place where all of this information is listed it's better to be accurate. For example, Jellicle Ball is shown as having been nominated for Outer Critics Circle for both "Outstanding Direction of a Musical" and "Outstanding Director of a Musical".  The same Jellicle double nomination for direction and director is listed for the Drama Desks.  The Lost Boys won two drama desks but you have listed only one.  Also, I see that for some categories for outer critics circle and drama desks you do not list their nominations or wins.  Yet for the distinguished performer award for drama leagues in which many shows had performers nominated the category is is not listed as a nomination on any of the individual show pages but it does show as counting for the show with the winner (Ragtime).  You might use some criteria that is not apparent - the "see all awards" URL on individual show pages (https://broadwayscorecard.com/award-score/2025-2026) leads to a broken link.  *edited for clarity

Question about Tony eligibility for score this season

It seems that only four musicals this season will be eligible for score (Queen of Versailles, Two Strangers, The Lost Boys, and Beaches).  However, plays can also be nominated for this category.  The 2025 Tony rules & regulations (the latest version I could find online) state that if there are at least nine eligible candidates for nomination in any of the 26 established competitive categories, then there shall be five nominees in that category.

2024 Tony Predictions

Does anybody know whether the Tony Committee will announce the remaining eligibility decisions today?  I assume they'll announce those determinations before they reveal the nominations but is there a chance they won't?

Cabaret stunt casting

Theatrefanboy1 said: "With such a short contract with Eddie and she said that they already have the next casting signed they are waiting though because this cast is just settling in. But she also told me that with the new casting there will be a new fall schedule of only on 5 days (7) shows a week starting in September. She was quite excited about the new casting and saying how “big” this would be. (So my question doesn’t stem from ridiculousness)

Cabaret stunt casting

Here’s my stunt casting idea for Cabaret.  Matt Bomer.  As Emcee.  What’s more… every month we rotate in cast members from tv shows or movies he has been in!

So… Fellow Travelers month features Allison Williams as Sally Bowles while Jonathan Bennett plays Cliff (but also Emcee standby).

During Magic Mike month Channing Tatum takes a turn as Cliff/Emcee standby, Andie MacDowell steps in as Fraulein Schneider and her daughter, Margare

I applaud this show for making prices affordable! (starting a new thread here rather than the Playwright Horizons board since the show starts previews at The Golden in a few days)
