A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
I won tickets at the Flea Market. Can I get a new pair to something else? The fates were kind enough to intervene so that I didn't have to sit through LB again.
Three shows are closing within the next month. Things aren't going well and this really is a true shame. Three great shows are closing and only more commercialized shows are coming in.
"Light the candles! Get the ice out! Roll the rug up, it's today!"
This is depressing! I was just really (I mean REALLY) getting into Legally Blonde . It is a little weird that they didn't wait atleast a little more...you think during Thanksgiving/Christmas they'd pick up a huge amount with all the shopping and what not, but no doubt October would have been difficult.
Best to Bailey, Orfeh & Kate Shindle as well as the rest of the cast! I wish some of them would/could transfer to the national tour!
What perplexes me is that on the press release thing, it lists Christian Borle as Emmett, and the rest of the original cast (except for Bailey Hanks instead of Laura Bell Bundy). It basically suggests that they'll be playing the roles in the tour, which I know isn't true.
Eerie how just a few weeks ago, there was a thread discussing which shows would close next after "Rent," and the most common choices seemed to be Xanadu, [tos], and Blonde...
In my pants, she has burst like the music of angels, the light of the sun! --Marius Pantsmercy
This is like an Agatha Christie murder mystery where everyone is picked off one by one, leaving everyone else to guess who the next to go will be. Soon, there'll be nothing left open on Broadway except "Wicked." I wouldn't be surprised if even Phantom closed soon.

"You just can't win. Ever. Look at the bright side, at least you are not stuck in First Wives Club: The Musical. That would really suck. "

I can't believe it. Well, look on the bright side, it's touring across the country, now high schools will get to perform the show, Hal Leonard is publishing the sheet music next month, etc. :)
I'm really upset; I don't care what the haters say.
I love and appreciate all kinds of theatre, and LB is an extremely fun, well-written, EXTREMELY high-energy show with a brilliant ensemble, memorable music, and a wonderful design. This is a real shame.
^ It is. I didn't even expect it. I though it would atleast go on till after Christmas because of Bailey's rumored six months. Atleast I can see the tour.
I would have thought LB would have lasted through the holidays. Sorry to see it close.
The combination of Xanadu's closing being pushed up and LB closing really makes me scared about the current financial realities behind one of my favorite forms of entertainment.
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys.

But I also guarantee that if I don't
