Why the silence??????
Well, I guess Baily doesn't get her full 6 months now!
I won tickets at the Flea Market. Can I get a new pair to something else? The fates were kind enough to intervene so that I didn't have to sit through LB again.
Geez, these shows are in such a rush to close.
"Why the silence?????? "
Now you want us to respond to a show closing?
Three shows are closing within the next month. Things aren't going well and this really is a true shame. Three great shows are closing and only more commercialized shows are coming in.
Well, ****. I'll be in Florida. Very sad, I thought it was a really fun show.
This is depressing! I was just really (I mean REALLY) getting into Legally Blonde . It is a little weird that they didn't wait atleast a little more...you think during Thanksgiving/Christmas they'd pick up a huge amount with all the shopping and what not, but no doubt October would have been difficult.
Best to Bailey, Orfeh & Kate Shindle as well as the rest of the cast! I wish some of them would/could transfer to the national tour!
What perplexes me is that on the press release thing, it lists Christian Borle as Emmett, and the rest of the original cast (except for Bailey Hanks instead of Laura Bell Bundy). It basically suggests that they'll be playing the roles in the tour, which I know isn't true.
Eerie how just a few weeks ago, there was a thread discussing which shows would close next after "Rent," and the most common choices seemed to be Xanadu, [tos], and Blonde...
If Gypsy closes next I'll be soooo depressed.

This is like an Agatha Christie murder mystery where everyone is picked off one by one, leaving everyone else to guess who the next to go will be. Soon, there'll be nothing left open on Broadway except "Wicked." I wouldn't be surprised if even Phantom closed soon.

Yikes. Times are really tough right now.
When is the unofficial closing?

October 12 when it pulls a Xanadu.
I can't believe it. Well, look on the bright side, it's touring across the country, now high schools will get to perform the show, Hal Leonard is publishing the sheet music next month, etc. :)

I'm really upset; I don't care what the haters say.
I love and appreciate all kinds of theatre, and LB is an extremely fun, well-written, EXTREMELY high-energy show with a brilliant ensemble, memorable music, and a wonderful design. This is a real shame.
Wow. Shocked to see that it's closing this early I thought they'd surely hold out until the holiday season.
Guess it's basically official about WSS & the Palace now.
^ It is. I didn't even expect it. I though it would atleast go on till after Christmas because of Bailey's rumored six months. Atleast I can see the tour.
This is one show I have a vendetta against because other people have killed my enjoyment of it.
Well, that's upsetting. I'll be there on the 19th. Just got my ticket- orchestra O127.
I just walked past the Palace Theatre and there were two girls setting up a tent. I asked them what for, and they said "Closing Night rush tickets."

Is it sold out yet?
I'll trade my FB & Awesome's 80;s for LB closing tix
I would have thought LB would have lasted through the holidays. Sorry to see it close.
The combination of Xanadu's closing being pushed up and LB closing really makes me scared about the current financial realities behind one of my favorite forms of entertainment.
it's like, totally, deja vu you guys....
