re: Parade performances:

Was Trent playing Billy? He looks SO much older.

re: Parade performances:

Wow. Shrek was pretty low energy. I was really disappointed. Ben Crawford and a Farquaad understudy. The one cool thing is that I just saw a fairy tale creature I've never seen before-the Mad Hatter. VERY cool costume.

re: Parade performances:

He got REALLY tall. So far, my feelings:

- Hair was fine as always, though I thought the lip synching was particularly bad today.

- Bye Bye Birdie was awful. John Stamos is just so awkward.

- Billy Elliot was fine. Sad they didn't do something to show of Trent's talent though.

-Shrek was surprisingly good. I was impressed.

-West Side Story on CBS did America with Natalie Cortez instead of Karen. She was amazing. For once, the other dancers didn't pull my eye away from her.

re: Parade performances:

I was trying to figure out what character that was! And that was a Farquaad understudy? I thought Ben did well though...and I mean, he IS Shrek now...so who else would have done it?

re: Parade performances:

I thought it was Chris Sieber... It looked like him.

re: Parade performances:

Seiber's Facebook says he will not be performing on the parade cause his knees have been hurting.

re: Parade performances:

For some of us who for various reasons will have trouble flipping between both broadcasts are there any hints as to at what times in the NBC and CBS bradcasts the performances have been so far? :)

re: Parade performances:

I haven't been too impressed with the performances. One of my good friends played trombone in the Great American Marching band. It was pretty awesome to see him on there!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

re: Parade performances:

Cheyenne Jackson said he was singing for NBC... They didn't say his name though...?

re: Parade performances:

Eric, I flipped to CBS right as Billy Elliot ended, and I caught 2/3 of America from WSS. If you leave Billy Elliot a little early, you should catch all of it. I would recommend it, as Billy was just ok and Natalie Cortez rocked America. I didn't flip to see the other CBS ones though... sorry.

re: Parade performances:

NO!! I thought West Side Story would be on NBC. Someone please post is on YouTube! :)

Hair - Very nice. I think they should have done "Let The Sun Shine" though. It was a nice performance, nontheless.

Billy Elliot - The bad dancing girls were so funny.

Shrek - I liked it. Ben did a nice job. The Farquuad understudy was workin' it. Did pretty good.

Bye Bye Birdie - interesting...

re: Parade performances:

I kind of enjoyed Bye Bye Birdie... It was ok but it was funny to see John dance like that! Haha

Hmmm .... so SHREK didn't think that anything in their original score would work for them, and went with the oldie. Tells us something about that show.

Has Dreamgirls gone up already? I'm flipping and rewinding between both channels but now that the parade has arrived I'm sticking more to NBC.
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

Well...it's closing... so does that really matter? They wanted to entertain, and I think they made the right call. They did Freak Flag last year.

re: Parade performances:

They should have done Freak Flag like they did at the TONY Awards with Shrek and Fiona singing lead.

re: Parade performances:

Cortez really knocked that out of the park. They seem to have finally found an Anita understudy that can handle it. I hope to see her in the role one day.

Dreamgirls now

Hated those patterned snuggies they were wearing.

re: Parade performances:

Just caught the Shrek performance. What was the character in the fatsuit-looking thing, with the blue striped pants and orange jacket? Tweedle Dee/Dum? That's all I could guess.
