I like the idea of Bebe, but it should be Donna Murphy.

She'd be a scream.

And with only a couple songs to sing, she probably wouldn't miss much. It's not like she'd have to carry the show.

Its a shame you guys wont get the original London lady. Well no one in the UK knows Christine Ebersole and no one in the US knows Haydn Gwynn so why dont they just swap equity cards that way everyone would be happy!

I would love to see Haydn Gwynn do it over here. This isn't really a diva part. Mrs. Wilkinson is a tough, sharp-tongued working class woman with glimmers of maternal warmth beneath it all.

The last time this came up someone mentioned Beth Leavel. Fantastic idea! Whoever it is, the show is going to run forever once it hits Broadway - it's that great.

Haydn Gwynn was brilliant in the role. Assuming she's willing, they really need to get her over here to open it.

The part is not big enough for a major star. Billy is the only star part.
