Roger is definetly the best Leo Bloom in my opinion. Along with Hunter Foster, they are both terrific.

I was half asleep! Don't read to much into it. I forgot I even posted that.
How was Sam Harris as Carmen when he was in it?

Was there any special reaction to the "Tony! Tony! Tony!" bit during "Keep It Gay"?

Nope. And he didn't even give a 2nd thought to the line about Iceman Cometh (which he was in a few years ago with Kevin Spacey).
"She's a wonderful Ulla and apparently loves to work."
Most people in that career "love to work." They chose that profession for a reason.
Anne Bancroft was very ill and dying when the film version of the musical was being made. I don't think Brooks was focused on the film.

While that's true, Brooks has gone on the record saying that all he wanted was a record of the stage show. He would have filmed it at the St. James if he could.
seeing this show in january, tickets were bought before i knew tony was gon be in it. kinda bummed.
now i see there are tdf seats available- where in the mezz are they generally located? feel dumb, shoulda waited and used tdf instead

Though Lane has moved on to other projects, I'm sure he still cares whether the show is doing well. Not only is it part of his theatrical legacy, he invested in the show (and I'm sure is reaping the benefits). Additionally he is part owner of the restaurant next door (and that needs to stay packed too).
I think Lee Roy Reams is a disaster as Roger Debris.

I saw Reams as Roger deBris on tour and he was terrific. Ditto Lewis Stadlen, who was a terrific Max.
Danza has a lot of charm as a performer. Hope he does well!

Roger saying "Now just the pedophiles!" isn't a flub. He changes it around sometimes. One of his other runs he used to say "Now just the Tyco execs!" and I think once said "Now just the Enron execs!" All of those usually get a good laugh - I hate to say it but I think it's funnier than the "hear you in solitary" line - at least the pedophiles one.
"Wow, those new lines... uh, suck."
Totally agreed DRSisLove!

I walked by the theatre today and saw all of the advertising for him....wow.
I am seeing it Wednesday! Then I plan on Martin Short Thursday and then Butley either Friday or Saturday.
The big photoshopped picture now hangs in Times Square next to Laura Bell Bundy, I fell down when I turned the corner because I was laughing so hard when I saw that.

My personal favorite reaction to that photo, which now is hanging on the stage door, was from one of the St. James employees. "Oh look, they put his face in over the other guy's!"
I'm surprised they didn't change his name to "Tony" in the show.
~Jacob.
That would call for more sucky line changes
Hold out through March. Perhaps he'll bring in a few measely dollars. I hear John Treacy Egan will come back.. nothing official, of course, but the hearsay is what helps me sleep at night. =)
